blutgang was created from maurice’s original partner, a fellow manakete / nabatean who’s name was haert.   she and maurice wished to stay out of the war- and though they favored nemesis, they both were horrified to learn about sothis’s death & when haert when to challenge nemesis- she was killed for insurrection, and maurice goaded into fighting against the others.
