“It's quite lively today.”

Aglaea's comment made your eyes drift over the street that you recognized as the central city. There were indeed a large number of people gathered here today. You felt like a child again, with how Aglaea guided you through the streets with her hand in yours, walking slightly ahead. Some things never changed.

“Remember your promise.” You reminded her when she dragged you into a clothing store and immediately began browsing for you. “You told me I get to go to whatever store I want for every article of clothing we manage to find for me.” 

“Yes, of course I remember.” Aglaea's voice sounded exasperated, annoyed and whatever else that sigh following her sentence betrayed. 

You two kept browsing the store. Unfortunately, you found nothing and moved on to the next one. Each time she would hold something up, you would shake your head, not finding the garment to your liking. You knew you should've been trusting your older cousin’s judgement, but you couldn't see yourself wearing a lot of it. As pretty as the clothes she suggested were, it wasn't for you.

You felt bored and sick of clothes after exiting the seventh store— or was it the ninth? You couldn't recall. Your brain felt fried; the people, the sun high up in the sky and the endless heaps of clothes being shown monotonously. You were spent, to say the least. 

“We can take a break now.” Aglaea finally told you, hooking her arm around yours. She seemed a little disappointed, she had been looking forward to expanding your wardrobe. Perhaps she would have to put together something for you instead. 

“Why did you even want to go shopping today anyway?” You asked, eyes stalking along the various windows displaying their products. Your eyes stopped at a shop selling boba tea and almost suggested going. 

Aglaea's eyes were forward, a faint smile gracing her lips.

“I have a feeling you'll need them very soon.” 

“...Okay?”

You didn't know what that cryptic statement was supposed to be, but she seemed content and that was rare when it came to you and your… anything really.

You had been abandoned. Okay, not quite, but you might as well have been. Aglaea told you that she would be getting a spare sewing kit at the tailors shop a block away and told you that she didn't need you there.

She even gave you cash to pay for any clothes you may find in your idle wandering. Too bad you didn't find much that you would consider your style. A shame, really, but who says you couldn't spend that cash elsewhere.

A certain bookstore caught your attention and you chose to walk towards it, drawn to one of your favorite places. Upon entering, you immediately (but subtly) walked over to the shelf that was dedicated to you. Because of Cerydra's constant promotion, the bookstore had essentially made this a permanent corner. 

You eye the various works with a hint of pride before walking to the comic book section of the store. You notice two other people there; a pink haired girl with elegantly radiant eyes and a man facing away from you draped in a white hood. You didn't think much of them, but the girl did have a lovely voice.

You browsed among the selection, yet your mind was distracted. You weren't used to being outside without Aglaea in the middle of the day. The gaming café had been different because there weren't a lot of people around and it was relatively close to your home. This was out of your natural habitat. 

“...I'll see what Anaxa is doing, I saw him leave without us.” 

“What…a nuisance.” 

Your head briefly turned your head, watching the radiant girl leave. The tallhooded figure watched her leave and you quickly looked away, realizing you were staring. 

You took out your phone to question Aglaea about her whereabouts when you received an unexpected notification.

You hadn't even realized your feet were taking you towards the exit, and that was when you heard the sound of ever-increasing rainfall. What gives? The sky had been clear just minutes ago.

Then you felt a hand on your shoulder when you were about to step out. 

“It's…raining pretty heavily…” The familiar voice spoke. You looked behind you and met the eye of the man Eclipse claimed to be. His voice was as timid as you remember.

“I saw you at the gaming center a while back. Can I have your number?”

SYNOPSIS: You're a famous faceless webcomic artist online. After an argument in some unnamed comment section when you were younger, you gained yourself a hater who loves to annoy you over every little thing you do. Neither of you seem to be able to agree on anything, and every day you realize that he does this intentionally to be a shithead. You didn't know that this mysterious hater was closer than you might think.
