Who initiated the divorce anaxa or aglaea or was it the random option of them both pulling the papers at the same time?
Honestly the more I think about it, the more unsure I am of my answer. I initially thought Anaxa, but on the other hand, im sure Aglaea would has more built-up resentment compared to him considering how critical she is of his values. Anaxa on the other hand, doesnt seem to care for what others think, and I think it she brings it up, that is when he suddenly realizes that both of them are unhappy in this union. In a way, I think he got used to the gradual distance since they both have demanding jobs, and assumed that was why they weren't interacting as much like a couple anymore. He didnt put much thought to it because the shift was slow and gradual until they suddenly felt like strangers who couldn't agree about anything.
But it would be funny to imagine they both say in unison like "I want a divorce" lol

Do you have any tips for starting/writing smaus? I've been wanting to make one for awhile now but I have no idea where or how to start (˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵)

As for tips for writing a SMAU.... (a bit of a longer one, sorry for the yap aksejfhr)
Start off with a basic premise you want to start with. Usually I find a quote, a basic plot or something that I can use as a start and then build on top of that. For example in unemployment hotline (it was a little more personal) where I was like "ugh can't phainon save me from unemployment?". Additionally, I read another fanfic (Sobaniiruyo) at the time and then got the idea. If that makes sense?
Outlining!! before I start, I usually list the number of chapters I want and begin writing at least one sentence about what I want to happen (with additional sidenotes on how I want to execute it)
^^^ like this for example. SMAUs don't really need a lot of details for the chapter plans as long as there's a connecting story. I do all my outlining on Google docs (just somewhere you can easily access and check up on at all times). Just in short, write down what will happen each chapter. Usually it can help to just give the chapter a silly name and then write from that.
WRITE DOWN ALL YOUR IDEAS!!! Even if its a quote, a small detail, anything. If you want to include it, then make sure to write it down so you can look back at it during outlining if you lack ideas of what will happen a certain chapter. For SMAUs its easy to do fillers because they're first and foremost supposed to be comedic, as well as having a focus on romance. So there's a looser structure to follow that gives rooms for ideas no matter how small.
^^^ For ISYTM, here's the stuff I had around mid-february written down, and wouldn't you know, they've all been shown at some point already. "Reaver likes dark chocolate" — I dont even remember why I wrote that icl but it was used as the original argument that made Khaos [Name]'s #1 hater later when I began planning.
Divide up the chapters; this one isn't really for the start, it can come later, but do divide it up a little so that you get start - buildup - climax - slowing down - end. If it makes it easier to structure, follow a simple model like that (usually how i do it, Im sure there are more professional ones you can find online)
Another easy way to start off with is to gather your cast and mess around. Look on Pinterest for incorrect quotes and label which character is which. Searching ship prompts usually gives some silly quotes you can build off of. Make example tweets. Even writing the prologue before outlining can help if it makes it easier to branch out. The prologue doesnt have to be fully connected, but can also help readers to get to know the characters. Usually I like to end it with a hint of what might happen next, but that's really up to you.

So to avoid being stared at silly, he just refrains from going out in public or (if his brothers do drag him somewhere) he avoids crowded places..
