I wanted to be more than the alcohol, so despite my friend being diagnosed with cancer and my classmate passing away, I went. you went to the bathroom and saw me hug your best friend when you came out. I was just saying hello. you stormed out of the house and I followed, swearing that all I wanted was you and that it was nothing more than a hug. you hit me. I was hoping you thought I was a stop sign or a wall, but there were no “objects” around me. you told me “I take my anger out on objects, always have, but you deserved this.””
