[There was a brief silence as she listened. Honestly, both of them were still so young-- they were still so foolish. A small sigh escaped the elder woman.]

You and him are similar. Both of you are incredibly stubborn, and only when you realize that you’ve done wrong... it turns out to be too late.

If you know you’ve done wrong-- and you want to fix things. Then do so. It doesn’t matter how. If you have the will to try and fix your mistakes.. you’ll find a way.

Words that are needed to be said find the right time to appear to the person who needs to say them.

[She clenched her fists slightly, resisting the urge to grip at her own chest in anguish. He left. He meant it. He really left. And she didn’t get a chance to try and stop him.]

[Although Caesar hid her pain, it was very much obvious to the woman who’d taken care of her that she was hurting.]

Ah– erm– … Mistress Lisa Lisa. I’m sorry. I’m dropping in really unexpectedly…

[Caesar looked around, expecting to see some sign of Joseph. …Like a giant mess.]

…I…came to bring Joseph his– …

[Shit. She hadn’t planned this out well.]

[A smile formed on the older woman’s lips, disappearing as the younger inquired about her son’s whereabouts.]

He’s gone.

A chuckle builds in his throat as he approaches, nails grazing against the wall. How could DIO forget any of the humans present in the engine room that night? Why, were he to think back, her squalling would still be heard loud and clear amongst the roaring flames. How interesting that after all these years they’d meet once again- ripple user and vampire.

“Whether I am or not-- it doesn’t matter.” If hateful looks, the person in front of her would be long dead. Lisa Lisa-- no, Elizabeth Joestar was face to face with the person responsible for her husband’s demise. 

Her blood boiled, not just for George but for her fallen parents-- the Joestar family who she had married into, and everyone who had met their demise due to this man.

Even her own foster father.. this man played a part in Straizo’s betrayal.

That means a lot to me. I haven’t been anything like a daughter to anyone for a very long time.

[Lisa Lisa was right, as always. Leaving would only put Caesar at fault. …She’d have to wait out this discomfort…and risk her pride being destroyed if Joseph picked Suzie to remain with romantically.]

You– …Of course you know. …I was foolish to leave his name out of the story.

…I’m sure you’ve…felt this feeling. This desperation. This feeling that…you don’t know what you’ll do without this person. Though I shouldn’t be selfish. Your situation differs from mine. I’m not losing the person I love to tragedy. Only to his own choices. It’s…not a nice feeling either way.

…I’m being very selfish. Because I do not know that I could be mature enough to manage a platonic relationship with Joseph. Not now. Not after what I felt.

You have no need to worry then. Because you will always be a daughter to me. Regardless of my foolish son’s actions.

[Setting the cup down after a sip or two, she moved closer to the other-- giving her a pat in the head as a motherly smile spread on her lips.]

I’ve been alive long enough that I know what love between two people looks like.

...... I still feel that way every day. Except.. it’s not desperation anymore. It’s emptiness. It turns into something else over time. And you’ll always feel that way without the person you love.-- Although.. the person you love, it’s not exactly the term I would use. People have many loves Caesar, but you only have one soulmate. And George was mine. That hole can be filled with many things-- but it’ll still be there, albeit smaller than before.

People can prepare themselves for such things.. Harden their souls and their hearts. But even then, you could prepare yourself for that moment-- and it will still hurt.

Caesar. Love is about overcoming hardships together. Being soulmates is about sticking by each other even through the most difficult of times.

[The older woman knelt down, bringing both hands to cup the younger’s cheeks as she looked directly into her eyes.]

…I thought I should ask…given that it’s not related to hamon training at all.

[As she motioned, Caesar hurried to the table, taking a seat as quickly as she could.]

…Ah. Thank you. …Where to begin? …Mnn. It’s related to a man. This is…a man I have feelings for. …We’ve been romantically involved. Today, I chose to tell him I was pregnant and the child was his. …Before I could tell him, he told me he’d been romantically involved with another woman and that woman was with child.

…I tried to break things off cleanly, but broke down and explained my own situation to him. He sort of…ran off. I suppose to think things through.

[She lit herself a cigarette-- listening attentively to the younger girl’s words. This man-- it was without a doubt her son. After all, it was apparent how she felt for him and vice-versa. As Caesar continued however, she burnt out her cigarette. Pregnant? This was certainly an extremely difficult situation.]

.......... I see. Well, if you ask me-- that man isn’t a man at all. He’s a boy. Truthfully, a woman would be mad.. as she has the right to. She has all the right to hit, slap-- berate that man. He’s an idiot.

However, if this man caught your interest.. then I’m sure he’s not completely hopeless. 

You want to leave? Go right ahead. But if he’s making the effort to want to be there for the child-- then it’ll make you seem like the one at fault.

In the end.. the choice belongs to him. And in the end, that man is going to have to decide which woman is most important to him.

Of course, whether that woman forgives him or not-- it’s all up to her. 

[Lisa Lisa stood up, making her way towards a cart placed by the table which held a glass of wine. She took  the glass in her hand and walked towards a further corner, turning her back towards the younger female.]

I’m not going to defend Joseph. He’s my son-- but just because he is I am by no means going to take his side. However, he’s been without a family. As have you. The last thing he would want is to be without a family again.

…Master Lisa Lisa. I know it’s a bit late. I didn’t intend to come by but…I’m…experiencing a problem.

[Caesar was being uncharacteristically sheepish. …But the entire day had thrown her quite off balance.]

It’s fine but-- my advice? Caesar, you know you don’t need to ask. Regardless of what you need I’m always here to help you.

[The elder woman made her way towards a table nearby-- motioning for the other to sit in the seat across from her.]

..Master.

…Please don’t think ill of me. Please don’t think of my actions as perverse or too forward. …Please don’t shove me away.

[After his little bit of rambling, he put an arm around her shoulders, giving her a very slight hug. Caesar craned his neck back, keeping himself at a safe distance. She was real. Entirely real. He couldn’t see her again.]

Perverse or forward? What do--

[Her words were cut off however, once Caesar had brought himself to slightly hug her. For him to do something like that... it was obvious he was far from okay. Especially with words like that.]

[This was the closest he had been to a human in a long time. It didn’t help that it was a woman— A beautiful woman. The touch would’ve be reassuring…if it wasn’t overpowered by a vicious hunger.]

Let me tell you something. I've lived a very long time and in my fifty years of living I have rarely contracted diseases. I'll be fine.

[Letting out a sigh, she began to gently push the blonde into the direction of his quarters.]
