To see a familiar face was one kind of relief and to have one in her home, an opportunity to catch up, was another. Though they had fought alongside each other through the maze that had been Ariadne, Robin had been given nary a chance to catch up with Frederick after the fact. Now at her door, she was given the chance to rectify that. He who had gone from wary to trusting, a valuable comrade and treasured friend, it was a great honor and pleasure to see him once more.
“Please do come in, Frederick. We really ought to catch up, it has been quite some time since we last had the opportunity to do so.”
“Indeed it has. If I recall correctly the last time we’ve met was under very trying circumstances. I trust you’ve been well since?” Upon entry he’d speak these words, only a truthfulness to his inquiry whilst his gaze is cast upon the woman. Once a comrade he’d held suspicions against, to one he had sworn fealty to as his queen. “I have come to make up for my absence. I shall inspect your apartment to see if everything is in place, and make certain you have all that you require.” Stepping forth to begin his inspection he would look at the ceiling, inspect the tables for dust with a swipe of his finger, opening and closing drawers, turning on the stoves to see if they function as they should--
“All seems to be in order, though a bit of cleaning will suffice. And I’ve yet to inspect your room as well as the latrines... I’ve heard ill rumours that speak of contraptions used to watch us go about our business in them.” So crude and unacceptable it was, he thinks, a shake of his head, countenance greatly exuding his disapproval. But he looks toward her again, clearing his throat. “But yes, well. Do I have your permission, milady?”
