☾ - sleep headcanon

He would be a very light sleeper, honestly. You know the type of people who sleep with knives under their pillow? That’s Sayo. Always willing to fight at a moment’s notice, or to exact revenge should an ambush occur, he is constantly awoken at night by the slightest disturbances. 

He is also an early bird, one of the first to wake upon the first light, if not just before. He’s the restless sort, who cannot easily remain in one place for long without getting the urge to do something. Sleep is not a state he can get to easily because of this. 

☆ - happy headcanon

The only way he can truly be happy is that if he fulfills his master’s desire for revenge. Because of his history, he never truly had the chance to fully experience peace, or even a point of rest. Being sold for coin, used for murder, or being sold yet again, he has a problem with attaching to things and people, considering that as soon as he grows accustomed to someone or something his whole life and purpose changes. 

Happiness? That’s foreign to him, but he will feel at peace if he can at least fulfill his role, which he believes is to exact revenge for his master, nothing more. 

But to be treated kindly, once he gets over his suspicion, he might learn to smile. He might learn what happiness is.
