Argh, there’s a second one but it won’t let me reblog it.  Anyway, a million years ago I headcanoned that Cavan is quite a skilled basket weaver.  His preferred medium is reeds and water grasses, obviously.  One of his holdover talents from a more peaceful time in his life.

puritan names be crazy. i cannot even. picking a random name from the bible i can respect, but a random word or phrase?? and the poor bastards (literally) who got named for the sins of their parents. far too cruel. 8′|

#reasons to be glad Mossy surfaced in the late 15th C because instead of Amos he’d probably have been suspiciously dubbed Learn Wysdom or something.  Frankly, it’s a MIRACLE he didn’t end up as a John.  Everyone was named John.

I liked that one story of the guy named Zachary who named his kids Zebediah, etc. and then the youngest was just like "... John.” It’s a miracle any of us aren’t named John (or Mary) tbh. I thank my lucky stars quite frequently for that fact.
