This is a huge rant btw as I am so angry about what they did to the 2013 reboot with the team turbo films..
Okay so I recently rewatched max steel because this show was MY JAM when I was 8 but what did they do with team turbo. They scrapped everything good about the 2013 Max steel and added new characters in and designs where they didn't need it?
Like they got rid of N Tek, his original friends Kirby and Syndey, His family?? And suddenly max doesn't need steel and vice versa even though it was one of the biggest plots in the whole show? MAX STEEL WAS APART OF N TEK. They gave no explanation where they all went AND added two new characters (plus a talking cytro) the tiger guy is fine but the girl is just SO WHINY 24/7... They could've made team turbo be MAXS ORIGINAL FRIENDS mostly Sydney as towards the end it felt as though she was being built up to be an agent by the end.
The whole plot of Max and Steel needing each other to link or else theyd die was perfect. It added high stakes when one of them went missing or couldn't reach each other eg when Max gets kidnapped at ep 2 I think and steel being captured by vangohn. the whole point was that their bond was incredibly strong but turbo team scrapped it. WHY? It added so much more plot lines and when steel was taken in turbo team by the zombie guy max wasn't in as much of a rush as he would've been in the 2013 series.
idk man it felt as though the new studio that was making max steel just didn't watch the series because most of these plot holes are SO avoidable just by actually watching the series and expanding off of what was already there not making new characters when you had plenty and scrapping everyone's favs. To cope I just pretend it's a different show or not canon lmao
