1. After I heat shaped the parts, I covered them in liquid rubber (I used a spray to minimize the risks). It was ultra stinky, so don't even think of using it inside! I made a box to use it on the balcony and not get everything around black

2. When liquid rubber dried, I started mixing paint to find the perfect Durin blue. I ended up mixing blue cobalt, some brown and a little white, just because paint refused to cover the black without white. At first, I decided not to cover black rubber with paint, but Mir did it in the end anyway, bc textures didn't match

3. I finished eva parts with matte polish and a thin layer of glossy one to get the same gloss that leather has

4. For the glove parts, I used simple leatherette gloves. I cut them on the knuckle level and burned the edges. I filled them with polyester to glue eva to them more comfortably. Measurements were made by just putting the gloves on Mir's hands and marking where the parts must be glued. I decided not to attach the hand part to the arm part for braces to be more mobile and comfortable. So glove is the thing that holds them together

5. When glue on the gloves dried, I measured and cut thin belts to the right length and spent some time looking for the right glue to hold them together. I also sanded both eva and belts for better adhesion. The best glue turned out to be a two-component epoxy adhesive, good thing I have a lot of random shit in my workshop. I used clothespins again for the pressure. I also made some invisible stitches around the belts (some lack of photos here)

6. Finally, everything dried, I made holes in the belts and tadaaa! Ready for a battle

1. First, I measured everything according to Mir's arms. It turned out really important for the whole outfit: an inch bigger or smaller can ruin the final look, I swear. So, I drew the patterns by hand

2. I cut the bases out of hard 5 mm eva. Then, I cut the patterns out with a box cutter and transferred to 2 mm eva with a regular pen. I fixed paper patterns in places with sewing pins, it works super great.

3. I cut patterns out with the same box cutter really carefully, so not to cut too much, bc I'd have to fix it later. The most difficult part for me was holding the knife at 90° to the table to get even edges. Well, I really messed this mission up, but luckily, it didn't make the result much worse phew

4. This thin eva has a glue base, so it was super easy to glue pattern on the base. I also sanded the edges with sanding paper. You can also use a dremel, but this craft was easy enough to go with just sanding paper.

5. I used a heat gun to warm it all up, rolled the parts with my hands, and held that way until they cooled down again. I also used liquid nails with water to fix some ectra cuts I made on the pattern.

First I bought water shoes and these terrifying feet slippers. I spray painted water shoes white (poorly) and marked where they match slippers' edges

Then I cut water shoes next to these marks to make hobbit feet more comfortable when gluing and wearing

Then I glued water shoes to slippers, I tried several types of glue and ended up just using the universal one and adding some stitches for sturdiness. I fixed parts together with clothespins while glue dried

Then, I spent some time painting the gray parts with acrylic paint and brush just mixing the right color. And used the same technique as for the ears to make them more realistic: makeup, hairspray, and matte acrylic polish.

The hair I used was just leftovers from Bilbo wig lmao

It was super easy, I just bought pointy silicone ears and made little holes with scissors, so I can hear well. Then I wiped them with alcohol

I used makeup: primer to make eyeshadow stick to silicone and red and brown eyeshadow

Then I finished them with hairspray and 2 layers of matte acrylic polish
