Different news websites uses different types of design for their homepage in other to standout. this designs are also use to attract and sustain readers interest. the following are a description of the webpages of Channels tv, Premium times, NTA, Cable news and the Guardian news.
premium times’ homepage is divided into two, however, the division occurs after the major news which is directly under the name of the newspaper. the name is placed at the middle.
on the left side of the homepage is the top news while more news is placed directly beside it. under more news is special reports. under the top and more news, there is features and interviews followed by regional stories, videos, opinions, editorials, etc.
the webpage of cannels television is divided into different section, the first section is divided into two unequal parts. the major headline which occupy the larger part of the first section is on the left side while other headlines is on the right side.
the next section is divided into three parts which contains in the news on the left part, local news at the middle and crime on the right part of the section.
the top videos section is divided into four parts, three out of the four parts are for the video and the fourth is for african and world news.
the cable homepage have only one part, it is not divided into any parts. the title is placed on one side of the page, followed by the top stories and other stories.
the top stories has a picture slideshow, followed by other news pages. when you scroll down, you will see the video section and photo story section with a collection of different pictures.
the webpage of NTA is divided into two parts after the title which is placed at the middle of the page. the first item is named hot news followed by politics and then security and so on. there is a section down the page named daily news roundup which contains both local and international news. the sports section has a picture slideshow
the homepage of the guardian has different sections. the title is also at the middle of the page, the major story is made in a slideshow which shows different news and pictures.
the whole page is divided into two unequal parts, the left part which contains the news is further divided into three parts while the left part is used for other news and adverts.
