I keep wondering, are the black things on the side of her head her horns which disappear when she's "human"? Or something she wears. And if horns, do the fold against the side of her head if she tries to rest on her side "in costume"?

The thing that works so well about the new mutants lineup is that it’s made up of weird girls. There’s Dani “knows all your worst fears and sees cryptic visions of death” Moonstar, Illyana “socialized by an evil sorcerer” Rasputin, Rahne “believes in biblical demons and will tell you about it” Sinclair, Xuân “literally inside your head” Cao Mạnh, and Amara “raised in Ancient Rome but it’s actually not ancient” Aquilla. Not one of them is remotely normal, and other than Illyana, each of them is thinking “thank god I’m the normal one here.”.
