I think I'll touch on this more in the coming days (probably....or not), but the corporate realities of the end of the Krakoa era really hurt me and I don't feel like I'm going to recover any time soon. From the end of 2019 to the middle of 2024 I didn't just get back in to X-Men, It saved me. It gave me hope in a time when I lost it in my heart, it gave me a reason to get exited WEEKLY for stories. Now I just see empty pitches for movies/fortnite skins/merchandise and my heart breaks. And this comes from an 80s kid! All my cartoons were meant to sell something! I think the saddest part to me, the thing that stings, is it's still going to sell. The good that there is now (READ EXCEPTIONAL X-MEN ASAP) will get cancelled first and we'll be left with a 12 year old lookin Scott Summers giving an angry black girl mutant named TEMPER (Her old name was better, I promise) orders for the next 15 years. It's so depressing. Fuck that recently announced event and fuck Disney.
