2026 @mikavyn — 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗶 !

“Seishiro? Could you open the door?”

In response there came a low grumble coming from the other side followed by a set of lazy shuffles making their way towards you.

The door clicked open, standing tall was a completely disheveled 6ft tall boy with tousled pale hair that could reflect the purest moons. His eyes were half-lidded, still rubbing them as if he just rolled out of bed (he did). The shirt he wore was so wrinkled it was beyond saving without an iron. 

It was painfully obvious that he spent half his day buried in the comfort of his mountain of blankets. Honestly, if you hadn’t shown up, would he have even left his bed at all?

Nagi blinked down at you to take in your appearance, but to be fair you felt like you were walking through a hurricane on the way here.

“Have you eaten anything yet?” 

“Nope.”

He opened the door and stepped aside, you were greeted by the mute and minimalistic apartment. There was a glow from a paused game by the kitchen table, the idle-music still playing faintly. After slipping off your soaked shoes and placing them neatly in a corner, you carried the grocery bags to the kitchen counter and set them down with a soft thud

The only reason you made a quick stop to the nearest grocery store was because there was practically nothing but packs of jelly in Nagi’s fridge.

Speaking of him, you could hear the white haired giant stumble back into his room, collapsing face-first on his bed. 

“Well that’s no good, I’ll make something quick for you then.” You said whilst removing the packets of food from the bags, putting in extra effort to plate it nice and serve it warm for your boyfriend.

“Man what a hassle..”

If you were to tell yourself about 5 months ago, telling yourself that you felt like breaking up with Nagi Seishiro, you wouldn't believe yourself. Maybe you would've laughed too.

But it’s harder now since you’ve been considering it for the past hour now.

Actually screw the past hour. It’s been days.

The honeymoon phase had faded quietly, so quietly you hadn’t noticed it disappearing until all the warmth was gone. You’ve never felt worse about the thoughts circling in your head, your chest getting heavy with guilt each time you look at him. 

Even since you’ve started dating it always seemed like you were the only one putting effort into the relationship and as much as it hurt, Nagi never noticed your frustration.

But did he ever?

Despite being in a relationship, you never felt more lonely. You usually planned dates, down to every detail possible and made the decisions all on your own because he found it ‘a hassle to make decisions.’ 

You woke up earlier than necessary just to walk to his dorm and drag him out of bed before school started. You ironed his uniform while he stood half-asleep beside you, made breakfast so he wouldn’t survive off jelly packets again, and sometimes even fed him just because he was too lazy to do it himself.

At first, you found the way he depended on you cute but now it just felt draining. Because Nagi never really gave anything back.

Every conversation was one-sided. Your eyes would try their best to drift away; to the wall, the floor, fidgeting with your hands or playing with your hair. Trying not to face yourself with the fact that your boyfriend wasn’t even listening. All he gave for a reply was the soft buzzing noises likely coming from a video game from his phone. 

Did he even realize how close you were to giving up on him?

Or would the thought just become another ‘hassle’ to him too?

“Are you really going to tell him today?” Your friend asked, their voice laced with concern and uncertainty.

They knew just how much you cherished him, the amount of hours that you’ve sacrificed for him, the things you did just because of him. All because you loved him.

“It’s draining.. I don’t think this will work in the long run, we definitely won’t last at this rate. It’s only going to get worse for my own mental health.” You admitted quietly, voice barely louder than a whisper. You dip your head down to conceal your own face with your fingers.

“If you ever need anything let me know [name].”

Even though your decision was already made, a part of you still wanted someone to tell you that you were wrong. Those things would magically get better if you just held on a little longer. Your heart didn’t want to take the route that your brain had ultimately chosen.

“Huh?”

“I’m tired, Seishiro.”

Gods, you didn’t even want to look at him. Feeling ashamed of what you were about to say. And his voice. His sweet voice.

One that you once craved to hear every second of the day. But, hearing it now only made you feel guilty— his tone leaning more towards something else other than his usual monotone voice.

“For the past few days, I tried to avoid it but I can’t take it anymore.” You explained, fists curling in shame. “It’s best that we end things here.”

He blinked. That’s it. No words to add, nothing to say to try to change your mind.

He remained seated on his messy bed, surrounded by tons of his own belongings scattered around the room. Still wearing the same disheveled hoodie from three to four days ago.

The longer you stayed— the more suffocated you felt. It was as if your lungs were being squished from the inside and out. Your vision blurred at his longing silence. 

That’s when you decided to swiftly turn around and exit his apartment like you haven’t spent the majority of your time there in the past month.

Dating Nagi Seishiro wasn’t as great as it looked. 

Everyone saw him as a good-looking, talented and effortlessly charming young boy— saying how his laziness just added to his charm. They would see the way he clung onto you during breaks, how he rested his head on your shoulder and subconsciously followed you around. People often classified him as a clingy boyfriend that couldn’t bear to be apart from his girlfriend. 

However, nobody would see how much of a responsibility it was to take care of him. You had to constantly clean up and remind him of basic things he should be doing himself. It was as if he would stop functioning if you let him go. 

The worst part was that Nagi never asked how you were doing, not even once. 

As more time went on, it felt like your love for him was drifting away. 

Like a boat that was left un-anchored at sea.
