I don’t mind fem!louis head canon/ fanon because I do believe that Louis is a feminine gay man but when you guys start to say “he’s textually a woman” I just gotta sigh because…no. To make Louis a woman would be erasing all of the homophobia and internalized homophobia he faces from himself and his family, and others. His sexuality and vampirism is literally one, his eating disorder is a metaphor for his internalized homophobia(the less he ate human blood the weaker his sexual libido, the less he had sex) his relationship with Armand is a metaphor for being in the closet (he literally chose to live in a city where homosexuality is illegal and he never leaves the penthouse) I can go on and on but it’s just so weird.

whenever you talk about the very obvious emotional incest that Louis has with Claudia(that we’ll most likely see even more of it in s3) you always have people saying use the word enmeshment… which is so weird because it seems like you’re trying to “dull” their dynamic as abusive (it is) like yes Claudia left because of Lestat but she also left because Louis… she wanted to get away from both of them . This shouldn’t even be a take because it’s very obvious in ep 4 and 5 shes fed up with both of them . Like whenever this discourse pops up it’s always “she wanted to get away from lestat” like no… she wanted to get away from Lestat AND Louis… like it’s so weird idk

one of the worse things to come out of loumands open relationship is people asking why didn’t Louis just “cheat” back when he was with Lestat seeing as though lestat didn’t kill Jonah.

maybe it’s just a tumblr thing but the way some of you on here talk you would think bottomstat was one of the most used tags on ao3…like it’s actually insane…

with the exception of lesmand I feel like all Lestat ships should end in stat.
