Babe Ruth at the Catholic Boys Home, Minneapolis, 1926.
Babe Ruth was in town the week of November 1, 1926. He visited the Catholic Boyâs Home, worked out with the football Gophers, visted a friend in the hospital - as well as did some vaudeville at the Pantages. He also was getting over a very bad cold during all the activities.
The Catholic Boys Home is now the St. Josephâs Home for Children.

Right now, weâre just not winning the innings. It sucks, but the guys in here are not down on themselves. Theyâre not mad by lack of effort. Theyâre professionals understanding that the other team drives nice cars too.

None of his Marlinsâ teammates were surprised when he did it.
And probably none of the Marinersâ fans or any baseball fans anywhere watching Wednesdayâs game should have been either when it came to Ichiro Suzuki.
âOf course he did that,â teammate Christian Yelich said. âWhat else would he do in a moment like that?â
- Andre C. Fernandez (Miami Herald)
