Back-Alley Knife Fight

A couple of days ago, Berlin started acting strangely—vomiting, not eating, and acting very tired.  While I initially thought it might just be a bad hairball, when I took her to the vet, they found out that she had swallowed something she shouldn’t have—we think it might be a set of headphones.  It’s caused an infection, and her kidneys have shut down. The vet is currently doing what he can for her, but even if she manages to pull through tonight, I’m still looking at a surgery that will cost at least a thousand dollars. I’ve just moved, and this expense on top of everything else leaves me in a pretty tight spot, especially with about $2k of rent and bills due just from regular living expenses. I’ve already paid a $500 vet bill, and the costs are only going to go up from here.  Any little bit will help. Berlin has been with me for six years now, and one of my best friends in the entire world.  I’ll drop whatever cost I need to save her, if she has a chance, but that could end up being a ton of money. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this.  If you have a spare few dollars you don’t mind tossing my way, it would mean the world to both of us.  If you can’t donate, a share would be appreciated, as well!
