i actually think it was really hot for trinity santos to walk in on her first day with that amount of confidence, make nicknames for every loser in there, try and get to do as many cool procedures as she could, catching some asshole stealing drugs, flirt with a 30+ year old surgery resident and still bag her after stabbing her in the foot, and just in general walking around and taking up her rightful space. i think women should do that more
There is nothing wrong with disliking santos, but if somone despises her and LOVES Langdon?!?!?! i find it questionable, and misogyny is almost guaranteed to be tainting their perception of her
She isn’t a real person, but if the sight of her fills you with rage I find that concerning. Anytime I see female characters hated so intensely, i find it concerning and it makes me uncomfortable.
People hate women, and without fail you how that influences discussions of media
Coming from Twitter it’s hilarious seeing people hate this current arc. Even the people on bachitwt that complain and whine still seem to enjoy the manga and this arc on some level. Why invent things to be mad at?? I cannot understand since this arc has been amazing so far, no one is holding a nuke sword to your neck forcing you to read the manga.

I hope rewatching season 2 of the Pitt makes me like it more. Season 1 struck a better balance between Robby and the rest of the cast. It’s undeniable he’s the main character, but the others still get focus and have fulfilling arcs. Season 2 massively fails to strike that balance. At least that’s my perception of it now. Considering all the cut scenes that have been revealed, it seems the editing has been the main problem…. (A decision I can not understand no matter how much I try)
I’ve only watched season 1 in a “binge” style. For a show with the pitt’s premise and structure, I think that’s the best way of watching it. Watching the show as it aired with a week between episodes impacts the pacing. I think the fundamental writing problems will remain, but hopefully season 2 will be more effective with less time between episodes.
Especially mohan. Nothing will change that it’s a completely unsatisfying conclusion to an amazing character. Supriyah Ganesh deserves better.
Rewatching and seeing Langdon and Santos treat their seizing patient with the lorazepam pisses me off… Langdon could have KILLED HIM!! How many patients has he almost killed ?!?!?! He was seizing for five minutes, santos was rightfully freaked out especially because the dosage was so high. It might partially be inexperience and dislike of Langdon, but it was a concerning situation.
And knowing that it’s because Langdon stole and diluted it? That he is why that man could have died or had serious complications? And when santos confronts him, Langdon lashes out at HER?!?!
I think some of that is him using her as an outlet for his guilt and shame, he knows what he’s doing is wrong. His arrogance makes him think nothing will go wrong and he can continue being a “good doctor”, but how many other patients had he put at risk? How many times were it not almost serious complications, but his meddling with benzos directly let to seriously consequences on patients health???
And then because of his favoritism Robby doesn’t report him. I don’t think langdon’s life should be ruined, but that doesn’t change how AWFUL his actions were, especially his treatment of santos. She may come off aggressive/confrontational (words of samira), but she never put patients at risk like that. Her honest mistakes are not comparable to Langdon diluting medications and risking patients lives. FUCK YOU LANGDON!! happy you went to rehab and hope you continue to grow and make amends next season, you are a man and flawed but can be thoughtful and deserve a future, but OH MY GOD! You need to treat Trinity and your patients better
Can’t belive I forgot it was the SAME in episode 9 with the patient who overdosed on MDMA. Langdon completely lashed out and berates santos because he knows she caught him. But worse of all, once againthat girl could have DIED! Samira can’t give proper care, the atavin has been tampered with and stolen.
Following the steps and making amends isn’t enough. Langdon has endangered and harmed and unknown number of patients.
Thankfully santos doesn’t trust men and is strong enough to push through his verbal assault and belittlement. She stands calm and inexpressive as he launches insults at her, tells her she’s not good enough to be a doctor and attempts to dismantle the foundation of herself. But that’s because her life experience guides her. Santos has been gaslit and abused and much worse by her own father, a man she idolized. Compared to that, Langdon is nothing. But even though she stands tall, it still affects her.
Trinity really has the worst first day.
Rewatching the pitt knowing santos is right about Langdon stealing medication?? Pure bliss. Also makes him seem like an even bigger asshole when you know he’s lying through his teeth and gaslighting her to try and hide the lie
When I first started watching the pitt, I didn’t like santos. I never hated her, but she came off rude and harsh. Like Samira tells her in an early episode, Santos seems dismissive to her colleagues and patients. It was her first day, but she was arrogant and seemed to view patients as a procedure opportunity, not a person in need of help. Her mistake with ordering BiPap and dropping a scalpel were the first steps in me liking her, but episode 7 was when i fully stopped disliking her. It’s the first time her facade slips, and we see who she is.
Santos might be sarcastic and borderline cruel, but she has a big heart. To me, she cares the deepest about certain patients. like Mckay, Santos can is the only person in the pitt able to help certain patients. It’s not something she’s learned in a textbook, or in medical school, or during one of her rotations: it’s the trauma and abuse she’s experienced. It’s her LIFE.
It makes her difficult to approach, untrusting of everyone (especially men). But if you’re vulnerable, if you need help? Santos is who you want on your side. She will protect and fight for you so you don’t suffer the same things she has. When you feel pain, she doesn’t comfort you by following a script in a textbook. She lived through the same pain, she still struggles with her past. She knows any of her words will not fix things, but that they can provide a glimmer of hope, a sign that at least one person understands and will support you.
To me, santos is the heart of the pitt. She represents the harsh reality of the ED, but also the moments of genuine human connection; the vulnerability and pain.

The same time Robby tells samira to focus less on each patient, move faster and stop doing necessary tests, he does the opposite with his own patients. He orders multiple tests on a patient he already knows is brain dead, let’s siblings override their father’s DNR out of their desperation to have him cling to life, and let’s Whittaker continue compressions and administer epi even after it’s clear the patient is dead.
He’s biased and shows favoritism, as an imperfect man his prejudices impact the way he practices medicine. He reprimends Samira, does he reprimand himself?
This is why collins is an essential character in the Pitt, and writing her out is a major block and completely shifts the dynamics. Colin’s doesn’t hesitate to call Robby out, there’s friction between them and she stands her ground. Unlike dana and Langdon, Collin’s has more personal intimate relationship with Robby. They have blurred the line between colleagues the other people in the Pitt haven’t. It’s clear robby is hesitant around her, their shared history clear subtext in their interactions. This gives her words power over him, Robby considers her input and internalizes it. Does he change? It’s only one shift, that isn’t enough time.
How would Collins’ presence change season 2? It’s impossible to know for sure. Mohan being written out will have a similar impact on season 3. The pitt’s strength is each doctor has a different approach to medicine and patient care, any of them being gone fundamentally alters the dynamics in the show.

Jeff sadecki you’re so annoying I hate you
See, listen, when a man does something evil and awful and terrible, I have literally no reason to feel sympathetic, okay, but when a woman does something arguably worse, well I think she deserved to do that, I love women and everything they do
