Georges batailles talks about 2 limit experiences I'm particularly interested in, the instant before orgasm and the instant before death

Moments of near impossible ecstasy and horror, where your emotions cease to function and you are simply overcome for an imperceptible time by a feeling so intense your brain cannot properly register it

Like the speed of light, that limit can never quite be reached, only ever approached by increasingly smaller margins

It's why edging is so interesting to me, keeping someone so close to that line but never crossing it

It's what makes snuff so enticing, that feeling which you can only experience once and will be so unlike anything else possible

I would like to propose another experience which approaches that impossible limit: the moment you vomit

Where thought stops for just a split second, and your entire mind is consumed by the sensation of it

In that way, vomiting is similar to orgasm

The build up, the visceral nature of it, and that moment so close to everything and nothing at once
