Welcome, friends! Full navigation post coming soon, but for now:
I’m Tatiana/Tati (she/her), and I’m a Black, 26-year-old Simmer using TS4 to manifest my dream life! I am also WCIF-friendly!
Desperately wishing I went to school for design, but alas, this game is my best bet for living out my AD-employee dreams while I work my corporate day-job, lol. Disclaimer: I am not a builder (yet), but I adore decorating and furnishing the lovely builds that this community produces! You'll find some of my favorite builders, along with their builds I've decorated, below. I hope you enjoy your stay!

every new post has me excited, like your interior style just scratches perfectly
cannot wait to see more
Ah, this is so sweet, Nonny!! This means so much to me, truly. I’ve taken a small break from the Ellis build to focus on some family gameplay in my other save file, but I have the primary bedroom fully furnished and almost ready to post! The nursery will be next; I’m about 90% finished furnishing that. It’s all coming together, and I’m excited to share!
The Ellis Residence, Windenburg. Part IV: The Living Room.
The living room, where the Ellis residence holds court. This is the house at full volume: teak paneling wrapping every surface, a slatted wood ceiling overhead, and picture windows on two sides pulling the trees, the rock, and the water straight into the room.
A low modular sofa in oatmeal linen anchors the floor, paired against a Marcel Breuer Wassily chair whose tubular steel and taut leather straps supply the room's one note of hard geometry. Between them, a lacquered coffee table carries the honest clutter of a room actually being used — stacked magazines, a candle, a laptop. Flanking it all, a pair of Bowers & Wilkins towers stand like sculpture, their gilded cones catching the low sun.
The showpiece is the fireplace: a solid stone surround and a floating stone hearth that quotes the exterior's masonry piers word for word, carrying the architecture's rugged coastal language deep into the interior. Nearby, a Noguchi-style paper lamp throws a soft, diffuse glow, and a vintage alpine travel poster — all cobalt peaks and red toboggans — supplies the color and the wink at a house perched between mountain and sea.

Del Mar Avenue 432

Who doesn't love a midcentury modern duplex home?
More screenshots, info + download link under the cut!
Real-life inspiration
While researching yet another midcentury modern build, I found this MCM house from 1963 by architect Clifton Jones Jr., and I immediately knew I had to build it. Here are some impressions of the original building.
source (with more photos)
So what do you get?
Del Mar Avenue 432 is a 30x20 residential lot that is best suited to San Sequoia, but could also work in Oasis Springs, or Del Sol Valley (with an added garden area). I’ve placed the lot on the “23 Eucalyptus Lane" lot in the Hopewell Hills neighbourhood, but the Sequoia Cottage or 36 Bayani Place lots in the same neighbourhood would work as well.
The lot consists of 1 floor, though a basement could be added via the garages. Each duplex has one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a guest bathroom, a living/dining room, a kitchen and a garage. If you'd like to have another bedroom, simply convert the garage into one.
Note: I needed to remove the debug floors in front of the doors on the right side of the house, because sims can't walk on them. Instead, I added regular flooring (not yet pictured in the screenshots).
Uses items from the following packs: pretty much all expansion packs and a few other packs// a tip: take a look at the build in the gallery and click on the pack icons to see what items I used.

TOU: Please don’t claim it as your own or put it behind a paywall. If you find any issues (wrong/missing files) please let me know + tag me if you’ll use the build, I’d absolutely love to see it in your games!
If you like what I do and want to show your appreciation, I have a ko-fi!
The Ellis Residence, Windenburg. Part II: The Working Rooms: Kitchen.
If the terrace is where the Ellis household entertains, the kitchen is where it actually lives. Terrazzo counters run the length of the room in a speckle of warm neutrals, met by walnut cabinetry and a bank of soft olive uppers that keep the wood from turning heavy. Overhead, a tiered Poul Henningsen pendant throws its glow downward in the layered way only that fixture manages, while a pair of oversized Enzo Mari fruit studies — La Mela (The Apple) and La Pera (The Pear) — supply the only real color in the room and all the personality it needs. A picture window frames the water; a laptop and a half-poured glass suggest the cook hasn’t fully clocked out.
Through the doorway, the working heart continues into a combined pantry and laundry. Open metal-framed shelving holds the honest inventory of a well-run house — folded linens, glass jars of grains and preserves, tinned staples in a row, a net sack of onions and wire baskets of fruit catching the last of the sunset through the window. Next door, a stacked washer and dryer sit beneath a framed equestrian scene and a buttery Danish table lamp, proof that even the utility corner here has been given something worth looking at.
The lesson, as ever with this house, is that nothing is purely practical and nothing is purely for show. The beautiful rooms work, and the working rooms are beautiful.

idk if your wcif friendly, so if not then please ignore this but if you are could you please tell me where you got the shower from???
again, love your post and i cannot wait to see more
Hello friend, this is so kind! I am WCIF-friendly; I'm sorry for not putting that in my bio to begin with 😅 This is the shower from @valiasims' Arty Bathroom Collection!
P.S. By the way, the little silver control bar is not part of the shower - that's the SOHO Japanese Toilet Remote Control from @felixandresims' SOHO Set (Part 1)!
I am excited to post more! This is new to me, and seeing all the stunning screenshots on here makes me nervous to post...but, I'm still excited to share my passion with you all! And I'm also excited to improve as I go - I hope you'll stay along for the ride! ☺️ Have a great one!
This community is so incredible - I had a passing thought that CC of the Beosound 9000 CD player would be the coolest thing ever, and lo and behold, someone has created one already! Ugh, I love it here.
