Much Love

My experience cannot directly become your experience. As event belonging to one stream of consciousness cannot be transferred as such into another stream of consciousness. Yet, nevertheless, something passes from me to you. Something is transferred from one sphere of life to another. This something is not the experience as experienced, but its meaning. Here is the miracle. The experience as experienced, as lived, remains private, but its sense, its meaning, becomes public. Communication in this way is the overcoming of the radical non-communicability of the lived experience as lived.

i used to have a hardened heart, as stubborn as they come i used to think i knew it all, but really, i was dumb until i laced up both my shoes and traveled out the door i realized that there’s more to life things that i now adore like music from a distant land that makes me lose my feet and dishes from across the sea i’m dying to have to eat and how what i would think is right, someone else knows to be wrong the worse is that i hadn’t known about it all along we learn to live in boxes, communities and homes rejecting any foreign thoughts, only honoring our own but if we only took a chance, to open up and see across the waves they’re different, just like you and me i may not talk the way you talk, or believe what you believe i probably don’t see eye to eye with what you see but from now on i vow to try to always be open to the differences that are right in front of me

i was never sure if my feelings were valid. and now that i am grown i realize that they are only feelings. and i have learned that feelings are not reality but only reactions to our reality. every aspect of life becomes what we interpret it to be, and to me, that is something to note….
