Oh. Yeah, I guess. You know we’re having a girl? I’m just hoping that she takes after me. Conversation hasn’t really ever been one of my skill sets when it comes to the ladies.

Do you want to go there? Or is it more of like… your parents want you to go there? Because you don’t sound super enthused about it. Did you guys really hook up? What’s the big deal about it if you did? You seem to get along well, definitely a lot better than me and Quinn. Would it be the worst thing in the world if you were into each other?

A girl, wow. That’s... that’s kind of overwhelming to think about. I don’t get what’s hard about talking to girls, though. Just talk to them like you’d talk to your guy friends, or like you talk to Finn. We’re all just people.

Like… what? What do chicks like talking about? I mean like… not Finn chicks, but… you know. Quinn types. 

Maybe just a little bit of a dweeb. But you’re hot, you’re allowed to be one.

Oh. It’s like, super hard to get into though, right? …Girl, if you want to kiss me, you know you can just go for it, right? I’m not stopping you. I can’t really vouch for any of those dudes, I haven’t kissed any of them, but if you want to find out, I doubt they’d mid much either. Keep in mind that Raph will probably sing a whole ass song about it, though.

I don’t think there are ‘types’ of girls like that. She’s Quinn, she’s one of a kind, just like everyone else. You could ask her what she likes to talk about. Or ask her about herself. Most people like talking about themselves.

Oh. Uh… no. I don’t think that’s happening. I mean, she’s living with us now, but… I don’t think she likes me much. I made her dinner the other night, I even lit a candle and all that shit -mostly to get rid of the smell of burnt chicken, but still. But she just kind of stared at me like she had no idea what I was talking about when I was explaining my Super Mario Brothers theories to her. I guess it’s not like, ideal, but… as long as she’s not hating me and screaming at me, I’ll take what I can get. We slept together one time. And she’s made it pretty damn clear to I think just about everyone how much of a mistake she considers that to be. I don’t think she’s about to start wearing my letterman jacket any time soon. 

Sounds like an appropriate reaction to me, to be honest. Tina’s a baddie.

Harvard? That’s a real school? I thought it was just from that movie my sister likes. Sorry to disappoint, but nah, I don’t think so.

Have you tried talking to her about non Super Mario Brothers related things? Video games aren’t usually the key to communication and connection. 

Okay, good, that’s a relief. Because reacting like that made me feel like a total dweeb who’d never seen a girl’s boobs before which is mostly true but still, I don’t want to come across like that.

Matt: okay FIRST OF ALLLL, Lighty McLightweight...remind me to monitor you at the next party so you don't end up doing this AGAIN.

Matt: But I wasn't that far gone, I think I'd remember making out with someone, especially if that someone was YOU. So YOOOOOOUUUUUUU made out with someone and didn't tell me! wow! w o w! Woooowwwwww!

Michaela: You're my best friend, that should be your job anyway! What WERE you doing if it wasn't dancing with me anyway?!

Josie: Excellent guess, of course I was. Your parents know its possible to get into college with performance scholarships, right? If I get another nationals win or at least ranking, I'm all but promised a full ride to UCLA after I graduate. You may not have Shelby Corcoran or the Vocal Adrenaline boosters, but it wouldn't be hard to get the attention of scouts. There are too many stupid nicknames in New Directions for me to keep track of, but really? That's like the only thing I've actually heard about happening at that party and it's not even true. I'm kind of partial to swing dancing but outside of certain vocal adrenaline performances, it's ultimately useless. You're welcome. You probably can SORTA, but I understand why most don't make any attempts.

Josie: Well look at that, apparently my 6th grade Summer Camp performance of Bring It On: The Musical has finally come in handy. Really? That's so unfortunate, Michaela. I rarely pay attention to non singers, but your dancing talent is quite phenomenal, definitely something that should be nurtured and not hidden away inside a human pyramid. So the rumors of you and Matthew canoodling are completely nonsensical? Thank you, I'm skilled at more but those are just the ones Shelby and I settled on as worth continuing for my future. That's both depressing and extremely impressive.

Josie: I do agree that most places are good places to dance. Before transferring to McKinley where all forms of talent outside of a back handtuck (or whatever it is you cheerleaders do) tend to be rewarded with a Big Quench to the face, I actually used to do a lot of impromptu dance performances. That's less than impressive, you'd think a group of teens interested in the arts would be more...unscrupulous at parties. They're fun enough, I suppose. I'm currently taking Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Do you take any dance lessons outside of Cheerios?

I mean, it’s not the ideal reason for her to be sending me a pic like that, but I ain’t about to complain, you know? 

My ma was like that, actually. She just glared at me the entire next morning at breakfast, the day after I lost mine. 

PRIVATE  I’m not pretending you’re not cute, but your prettiness doesn't make the Glist any closer to valid, I'm sorry! Unless you think I should've gotten eleventh or twelfth or whatever it is I got. Or that Tina and Matt belong on the not side, that’s just pure insanity.

Oh, I know. I can't imagine who in their right mind would complain about a photo like that ever, even if they received in front of their parents and cracked their phone a little bit in the process.

Josie: Unfortunately I was unable to attend the party this weekend since I now have to take three times the amount of dance and vocal lessons to match what my former teammates are getting in a single rehearsal. But based on Mr Schuester's assignment, I see I missed out on Quite the soiree. Did anything actually good happen or are New Directions still playing out dinner theater versions of Degrassi: The Next Generation?

Matt: not to ignore everything that was just said (which, yes, please keep reminding me how hot I am. I need it.) but...

Matt: would you like to explain to me why FOUR people have approached me this morning about our totally-steamy makeout session at Blaine's party? Last I checked, I wasn't drunk enough to have made out with my best friend and not remember it. 👀

Michaela: I'm sorry, what?!

Michaela: People said that about you and me? Who said that?

Michaela: I mean, I did drink a little bit and yes, I have a horrible alcohol tolerance so the night is a little bit of a blur but I mostly just remember dancing really close to people? And MAYBE kissing somebody that I was dancing with but I thought that might've just been part of my drunken dream that night! Did I actually make out with someone I was dancing all grimy with?! That happened?! In front of people? Holy shit?

Michaela: Was that US? Did WE grind? Did we make out?! How drunk DID you get???

Raphael: I didn't nominate myself!! I just want to know who thinks that I'm a good leader! Especially since everyone allegedly hates me.

Hey, it was worth a shot, right? I was top of the glist, after all.

You mean like… in a good way, right?

As someone who does sit around imagining things of that nature all the time, even I was surprised. Damn. So… what? She just like, wanted my approval, or something? Because I’m not so sure I’m the best judge of character, really. I’ve never seen a pair of boobs I didn’t approve of. Well… who do you want to smash?

As if that means anything. The Glist’s opinion is far from gospel. In fact, the two hottest Glee members in my opnion were on the not list if that tells you anything.

In a good way, yeah. 

Blaine: Well, you're a great team player and the best party guest one could wish for, Michaela.

Blaine: Yeah, I can imagine it might be a little frustrating sometimes! Do you have someone to cover for you?

Blaine: Just white claws and wine coolers. He offered to get a keg, but I figured that might be a bit too much.

Blaine: ... do you think I should hide my dad's liquor? Or is that a thing that only happens in movies?

Michaela: 😊

Michaela: Yeah, just a little bit frustrating lol but what can you do, you know? And yeah, I do. I just tell them I have plans with Matt and that buys me a few hours without a phone call or text or two.

Michaela: Good call. Kegs make things go out of hand easily.

Blaine: Really? That'd be amazing, Michaela, thank you so much. I'd really appreciate that. Please don't feel obligated, though! Lol, that makes sense. I want to say your parents sound even worse than mine, but that sounds kind of rude. Different might be a better word. It's not necessarily a bad thing, after all. And I'm sure they mean well :)

Blaine: Not at all. So did I, to be honest, until Puck offered to 'supply the booze', but you're right - it shouldn't have surprised me lol.

Michaela: Really. I'm happy to help. That's part of being a team player, right? And besides, if I'm lying to my parents about where I'll be, I at least need to be polite. Yeah, no, of course my parents mean well! They're just a lot sometimes, a party sounds like a welcome break.

Blaine: Oh, my parents wouldn't exactly be thrilled either if they found out, actually. My dad wouldn't, at least. My brother used to get in trouble quite a lot for throwing parties. But... I'm just going to make sure they don't find out. There's not that many of us, so that shouldn't be too hard.

Blaine: Puck's taking care of the alcoholic beverages, and I've got everything else covered, so you don't have to bring anything. Thanks for offering, though! I'm glad to hear you'll be there.

Michaela: Oh. Well, in that case, I'll be happy to help clean during the party so at the end of the night there's less of a mess to clean up! Or I could come by the next day and help. I'd stay over but my parents aren't huge on sleepovers unless they've vetted the entire family like four times lol.
