To complete this brief I was required to shoot 5 images of an Architectural structure, including 2 interior shots then edit them to look their best. For this shoot I chose to take photos of the Galashiels Transport Interchange as it is a modern and interesting building.

I chose to change my idea as I was not able to carry out my initial idea of the club video. I decided to film the prices of a new road being laid. This will include shots of the workmen, machinery, tools and the road it’s self.

I plan to shoot my 5 images at the Galashiels Transport Interchange. I chose this biking as it is only a few years old and has a modern and abstract appearance, making for and interesting shoot location. I would like to shoot this later in the evening as there will be a nice reflection of the sky on the building adding drama and the lights will be visible inside.

This photography is really effective in getting across how tall these buildings are. The low perspective and leading lines helps draw your eye and attention to the buildings.

This image has a really inviting and warm look to it as the lights are warm against the blue sky. I really like the symmetry and use of rude of third in this image, making it very appealing to look at.

I like how this image is in black and white image as it adds depth and detail to the image. The low angle gives a feel of the size of the bridge. The lines under the bridge have also been used to draw the eye to the back of the image.

This image has been taken from a very low angle in order to make the building appear important and powerful. The symmetry of the structure draws attention to the top of the building. I like how it has been shot at night time as the shadows add depth and drama to the image.

I really like this image as it draws you in using this abstract spiral shape. It is also well lit and creates amazing shadows and lightings.

In this image leading lines are used to create depth and lead your eye into the photo. It is also strongly lit from the left adding an interesting contrast.

I really like the placement of the structure in this image and is framed nicely. The low angel and triangle shape draws you from the bottom to the top of the image.

I really like this more abstract image the triangle shapes lead you straight into the middle. The strong contrast adds drama and detail.

This is a image I rally like as it is vibrant and bright. This had been shot whilst is the sun is setting making for a good shot as the colour of both the sky and structure compliment each other. The shape of the building adds a sense of movement.

John Lewis Christmas Ad

This a advert that is memorable and has stuck with me as it follow the story of a child doing day to day activities with a penguin best friend and finding the penguin a partner, which is somthing quite surreal. This adverts uses panning and zoom in many of its frames as it follows the penguin and child along. This advert keeps you drawn in till the end as it is quirky and unusual.

Money Super Market Ad

This is another advert that is very memorable due to its funny content and catchy song. This advert is around two minuets long and uses the follow camera techniques. Tracking is used to follow the man walking throughout the streets. Zoom is also used many times in this advert to get the reactions the the public passing by.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Ad

Clipping masks in photoshop are a great way to control the visibility of a layer. They allow you to modify and add or remove elements inside the mask.

The best time to shoot at this location will be in the daytime on a bright day but not too sunny.
