Fallout 4 has a serial killer character named Pickman who only kills raiders and makes art out of them and tbh I don’t get why it’s supposed to be some sort of moral dilemma when deciding to spare his life. I am also basically a raider based serial killer. The only difference between me and him is that I don’t make art with the body parts.

Which, if i do recall, is the exact point Pickman makes.

I don’t think the game is saying that killing raiders is bad, at least from my perspective, you aren’t supposed to literally feel bad for the raiders since they’re shown to be deplorable people and are hostile on sight, the moral issue comes from the torture and desecration of human corpses. He specifically targets raiders bc they suck, which is fair, but he actively enjoys making art out their bodies, that’s the problem, it’s not out of punishment, but enjoyment; who’s to say he’d never do that to anyone else.

rest in peace eryka caldwell. she was a 41 year old trans woman of color stabbed to death by her boyfriend. she had so much life left and yet it was cut short by this man. i hope the world can be better for trans women of color, sooner rather than later.

i am kinda peeved out that I can't enjoy most student art films from high profile art schools because of the statistics around black artists being in the low percentage often due to systemic barriers. it's another form of oppression I see rarely discussed. I do see a lot of black animators and the like but they are either indie or had to put in the work to even get in these schools and industry as a whole.
