MEZE13 served as the label debut for dynamic Polish producer Marcus Saudy. While his intro EP took a more jazzy, instrumental route, on the ‘Honest Mind EP’ Saudy introduces listeners to his brooding, electronic music production side.

However, do not let the shift from jazzy groove to electronic production fool you, the range and dynamic of sound is not lost simply due to the genre change.

The eight song EP opens with two Detroit inspired productions, ‘Morning Beauty’ and ‘Bert in the Shop’ followed by ‘Taboma’ a groovy, uptempo deep house, synth laced track. The middle of the EP takes a more downtempo, ominous turn with the inflective ‘Glipping Restart’ and Richard D. James-esque sounds of ‘Road to Re-union’. The EP comes to a cerebral close on the heels of “Back Wall of my Soul’, the trippy and minimal sounds of ‘So Simple’ and the complex production of ‘Followed Emotion.’

Meze's lucky 13th release features a set of debut tracks from Marcus Saudy, a multi-disciplinary producer hailing from Lodz, Poland.

The `Feeling This' is comprised of five compositions that range in style from moody down tempo (`Feeling This') to cabaret shuffling jazz (`Saujazzondo¿) down to brass band inspired groove (`Rush Killer').

Closing out the EP are two more inflective, yet no less dynamic, tracks. `No Limits Life' rides a deceptive synth pattern that arrives as part of a slow, churning melodic experience. `Last Day' which features Allegra del Mar, combines synth, piano, live-instrumental and funky drum elements together to form an uptempo, light filled rhythm.

Meze's 12th release features four remixes from four producers, some new to Meze, and others with firmly attached ties to the label. Three tracks from Antennasia's EP (Meze 10) 'GEDF', Ms. Zirkus and Spiral Sequence are reworked with careful detail.

Brahj presents a treatment of 'Ms. Zirkus' flipping it into a funky dance floor friendly groove which loops San's vocals, adding an element of underlying attitude that was not present on the original.

Meze (and Motech) veteran Deviant delivers a haunting mix of 'GEDF' that retains the original dream-like quality of the original, yet, takes the composition in a whole other direction.

Limbo smoothes out 'Ms. Zirkus' into a sultry, rhythmic experience featuring San's original lyrics treated to sound like they are floating in via radio waves from another era.

Deroboter, a Chicago/Miami based DJ/Producer, re-creates 'Spiral Sequence' into a beat driven collage, all the while retaining the soul and feel of the original composition.

The secret to Anntenasia’s continued success is the potent combination of Nerve’s production style in concert with San’s enchanting vocal styles, which is perfectly exhibited on “G.E.D.F.” “Ms. Zirkus" is a broken beat symphony of vocal work and uptempo grooves that meld into the equivalent of an auditory dream. “Spiral Sequence” is a track that could find itself comfortably on the soundtrack to an old foreign film, light and flighty, both in production and vocals, yet grounded in realistic clarity.

Meze welcome a new artist to the label "Dune".

Tampa, FL based Juan Espinosa, aka Dune, was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Miami, Fl. He got his first taste for production in his youth when he was most intrigued by the sounds of rock, electronic music, and dance. Having never undertaken formal music training, his first foray into composition came in high school when he attempted to recreate his favorite songs using music production programs.  His underlying creativity lead him to attempt his own creations in which he exhibited an uncanny knack for melody and rhythm. 

Dune follows his wide range of inspirations and influences- cinematic scores, designs, and classic productions from the likes of Massive Attack, Amon Tobin, and The Prodigy to create a melodic style all his own.  With previous releases under his aliases Cellmod, Mekotam, and remixes for close collaborator Deviant predate the release of his debut solo album, “Second"
