Ryou purred as she pet him, leaning against her hand. Being a cat had it’s upsides. He rubbed his head against her hand enthusiastically, meowing some more as she picked forth her phone. He had enough time left to stick around for a few more minutes.

Aku smiled as the owner quickly ran to get the dog and leave after returning Aku her noose. “Are you hungry, little one?” She asked. She thought it was strange to other people when talking with a cat but she found this feline in particular to be rather enjoyable. Maybe it was the mint green scarf hanging from its neck.

Ryou sensed this could become problematic. There had never been once he had been asked that without something bad happening afterwards. But he had lots of time left, so it wouldn’t hurt going along with her for a few minutes, right? He meowed in a happy tune.

Aku smiled as the cat replied and happily invited him into the company. Gently picking up the kitten, she found out that it was a boy and from the look of it, he was just fine. “No injuries whatsoever and you must have an owner, huh?” She smiled, scratching the kitten behind the ear again. “How about some food? Tuna, chicken, beef?” She could give the little guy a few options seeing as he’s still a growing boy.

He struggled a little as she picked him up. He could never get used to that. he let her pick him up and purred at the petting, mentally praying she wasn't going to give him catfood. He was a cat, but he was human too. He looked curiously at her.

Ryou panted heavily as he ran as fast as possible, possibly breaking this weeks record. This day had started out good and endt up getting worse and worse. He really hadn’t needed dogs attacking him for no reason. Sure, he had clawed it, but the dog had started it. He swiftly turned and metaphorically flew up the closest tree, hissing at the canine from up on a branch.

Aku quickly exited the company doors and glared at the dog who was trying to claw at a grey cat that was on the branch. Giving the dog a quick whistle, the dog stopped and directed its gaze toward the girl. “Get over here!” She snapped. The dog whined, walking to her and sitting down. She looked at the tag on the dog and identified it as one of the neighbors. She took her noose and tied it around the dog’s neck and to a nearby pole before going to check on the cat. “Here kitty…can you climb down?”

Ryou watched the girl from above, thankful she appeared. He climbed carefully down the tree and walked up to her. Quickly determining it as safe, he rubbed his head on her leg. He’d thank her but cats can’t speak, so he decided a soft meow was close enough.

She blinked in surprise as the kitten gracefully climbed off the tree and gently rubbed its head on her leg. She had never seen a kitten climb down a tree so easily like nothing happened. Usually kittens were too afraid to get down from heights at this age. She gently pet the kitten behind the ears. “Are you okay? Nothing broken?” She asked, looking between the kitten and dog before taking her cell phone and contacting the owner about his dog.
