[ Promptly running off, down a long hallway . ]

[They immediately hurried after Ring, during their best to keep up]

[ They make it to a large door and motion for Ryver to be quiet, quietly creeping in …

Suddenly SHRIEKING and being grabbed by something that bolts past the door. ]

GOD DAMN IT, BABY, PUT ME DOWN- NO, WE DONT BITE- BABY PLEASE IM NOT A TOY—

[He jumped in surprise, staring in shock before quickly opening the door a bit more to see what happened]

"H-Huh??"

[ Well, Ryver peeks in just in time to see Ring wrestle herself away from the jaws of what looks to be a 7 foot tall kitten. Said kitten has tusks, horns, wings, and two scorpion tails… one of the barbs has, believe it or not, a shiny golden key tied around it.

The manticore cub, presumably named ‘Baby’, mrrows and swats at the air above Ring’s head with a clublike paw, who promptly dodges the blow. ]

FOUND THE KEY—

"O-Oh!! That's.. going to be fun."

[She nervously giggled as she spotted the key, now wondering how she could get it]

DONT WORRY, I HAVE A PLAN- IF BABY WOULD JUST— COOPERATE—

[ She narrowly misses getting smacked again, bolting to a weapons rack on the wall. Instead of weapons, its lined with Baby-size cat toys. She grabs one & rattles it, & the monster cat goes eerily still, eyes fixated on it. ]

[He nervously watched from the doorknob]

"Alright.. if you say so, Ring."

GRAB IT WHEN IT GOES STILL- EEEEK-

[ Another dodged blow, ring gets chased for a bit… then the cat goes deathly still, again, staring Ring down. ]

Hahahhaa nice kitty pleasedonthurtme.

[They took a deep breath and snuck over to where Baby's tails were and did their best to carefully try and take the key]

[ It slides off fairly easy. Ring promptly chucks the toy and watches Baby sprint after it. ]

… That cat is a nightmare.

[She squeaked and backed up a bit before Baby ran, now staring at the key]

The keys are kinda… temporary. Lilith’ll break your lock within week one, by the way. Don’t expect it to last long.

"..Oh! Alright then, I guess.."

[She was a bit confused but just nodded along instead]
