you know what I’m here for…heh…part three? 😼
Everyone's here for part three😼
A/n: im sososo sorry for how much it took, but last week has been crazy and I'll go on another one on Monday, so until then I'll try to write amap.
Warnings: the club being the club, swearing, fat shaming against our poor josh, i think thats all
The next day you got up late; you looked at your alarm: 11:50 am. You decided to go downstairs, mind still fogged by the usual morning confusion.
With narrow eyes you got to the living room, your parents nowhere to be found. As you looked around the big room your mind got flodded with the events of the last day: you and Bill hanging out, the awkward goodbye and the way you kept thinking about him all night.
Not that you'd never admit it to anyone -or even to yourself- but you stayed awake most of the night thinking about bill. You weren't even sure about what you were thinking specifically -maybe the way his hair perfectly framed his acne scarred face, or maybe about how soft that flannel he always wore must be.
You got ripped apart from your thoughts by the loud ringing of the doorbell that exploded in your ears. You didn't move for a bit, brows furrowing as you thought who it might be at your door. Your parents were most likely out of town, you didn't really had friends you hangout with in Eltingville, so who could it be at this hour?
As you approached the door, a loud chatter could be heard outside. You stopped, an hand already on the handle, pressing your ear on the wooden surface.
You couldn't actually understand what the voices were saying, but they sounded like a group of teenage boys. And you could swear on your life you hear one specific voice that made your heart flutter.
You opened the door, and the scene unfolding before your eyes was unreal to say the least. Right there stood bill, a bunch of what looked like notes in hand, glancing down at them nervously. Behind him stood a taller boy, blonde. He was clearly worried, his leg bouncing.
Near them were other two boys: a bigger guy with a long ponytail that was muttering something amongst the lines of "this is gonna be so bad", and a shorter one that seemed fairly intrested by his shoelaces.
As soon as you opened the door, Bill's brain stopped working. You were still in your pj's, a baggy superman shirt and grey sweatpants.
His heart skipped a beat -he didn't expect you to not be properly clothed this late in the morning.
The moment they took in the view, their brains shortcucuit. Not only Bill wasn't lying -as you were a real girl- but you were particularly attention catching, especially for teenagers that have never seen a woman outside of porn or their mom.
They kept staring at you, mouths open and eyes darting all over you. Josh was the first to recover, face red as he elbowed Bill in the ribs; he quickly looked away and cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure.
His gaze nervously flicked down to his notes, the ink smudging because of his sweat.
His voice cracked as he started:
"Uh- an...higher power has made us come all out of our way to your house. I- We, the eltingville club, must invite your person to the #132 official club meeting of the eltingville club, role-play fic-"
Before he could finish, the short boy interrupted him: "His ma' 'sked us to invite ya' to hangout. An' I must say, not a bad idea..."
You could see him eyeing you up and down, your icy glare not affecting him.
"Oh yeah. Kinda." Bill grimaced, trying to hide the notes crumbling them in his pants pocket.
You raised an eyebrow and scanned them. They seemed...desperate, to say the least. You sighed and slammed your door, you couldn't believe you were doing this.
You changed into a black DOOM shirt and baggy jeans, not bothering to get accessories.
As you opened your front door, the four boys were sitting on the sidewalk, looking up at you like you were some sort of entity.
Bill looked the most surprised; he didn't expect you to actually come, he thought you'd call them off with some mean comment.
They all stood up too fast, like they were actually excited to hangout with you.
Once they got up and took a better look at you, they noticed the logo on your shirt.
Pete looked at you suspiciously, Josh barked out a laugh -that was anything but cheerful- and bill raised an eyebrow.
"Aw ya' think ya play doom? How cute." Pete mocked you, his weirdly sharp teeth flashing from his crooked grin.
Josh scoffed at you, while Jerry looked mildly intrested. Under all the nervous wreck he was, of course.
"Doom? You probably don't even know the lore name of the demon from the third game" he snickered, trying to regain his control.
There was no way a girl liked that game, and he was determined to prove it.
Pete and Josh looked at you eagerly, waiting to see you fail.
"Like...Dr. Malcolm? Betruger?" You let out.
The boys look shocked. Only for a beat though. They regain their 'composure' -if their dorky demeanor can be even called that- and Bill scoffs a light "whatever".
The smallest smile appears on Jerry's lips and you shut the door behind you.
You five start walking, you remain mostly silent, preferring to observe them. Pete and Josh are arguing about some sci-fi fiction vs reality thing, or at least you thought so. You weren't really listened, your attention was clearly caught by someone else.
Yes, you were staring at Bill. Noticing how he narrowed his eyes, how his voice dropped when he scoffed -you were taking in every little detail.
You suddenly realized you were staring, so you quickly looked away, clearing your throat.
The boys looked at eachother, as if they suddenly remembered you were hanging out with them.
A beat of akward silence passed, before jerry spoke up. "So, do you like videogames, Buc- Yn?" He quickly corrected himself, voice cracking slightly on the last word.
"Yeah! I do! I play pretty much everything, but my favorite are VNs and RPGs." You explained; not bragging, not mocking, you just stated facts.
While Jerry's face lit up hearing what you were into, Bill looked at you and grimaced. Pete scoffed an "of course she likes visual novels" before looking away as you glared at him. Jerry, now a bit less nervous -or at least, not in she's-a-girl-I'm-gonna-die mode- kept the questions coming.
Pete and Josh looked like they saw a ghost: none other than Jerry stokes, the blonde awkard boy that had a sci-fi line as a tick, was talking about videogames with someone new. And not just some random, but you out of all people!
While Josh and pete looked mildly intrested in your answers -even if part of them still kept up the though incel act- Bill was fuming.
Even if his expression was deadpan like most of the time, inside him there was a storm; how was jerry talking to you? How Jerry out of all people? And, most importantly, why not him? It should've been him the one that made you laugh, the one you talked about videogames and nerdy things about, not that tall loser.
Bill's eyes darkened, but of course he didn't say anything. He limited to just kick every rock, can and whatever else was on the sidewalk of eltingville that morning, shoulders tense.
Thank god you arrived at the comic shop, the tension slightly easing as Bill went straight up to the sci fi section, staying silent. Unfortunately -or not?- you followed him, looking through comics. You two were both staring at shelves, acting concentrated or even uninterested in the world around you- but you both were thinking the same thing.
'We are so close right now'
Still, you and bill kept flipping through comics, occasionally glancing to the other and looking away embarassed when you caught the other already looking.
"Ayo guys! They're doing Texas Chainsaw at the movies!!"
Pete's loud voice blurted out; you thanked the short italian boy in your mind and walked over, grateful for that distraction.
"Really? Texas Chainsaw? Again? We saw that like...five times already" Josh whined, clearly bored by a movie Pete forced him to watch before.
"SO WHAT? TEXAS CHAINSAW IT'S A MASTERPIECE- A TRUE MILESTONE FOR ALL THE HORROR CINEMATIC INDUSTRY!! IT'S PURE ART AND TERROR INCARNATE! BUT OF COURSE A FATSO LIKE YOU WOULDN'T KNOW JOSHUA!!" pete pratically screamed, voice high and slightly cracking. You saw Bill roll his eyes and Jerry follow them like that was routine, so you followed their lead and acted like it was normal.
Slowly, as you walked, Pete's and Josh's voices blurred, like you were light years away from them. You focused on your steps, on the already hot leap of wind that was blowing and the sun's reflection shining on the shops windows.
For a moment you felt like you truly belonged somewhere, even if it was with four idiotic nerds like them that spent their whole day arguing about dumb things
But that was only for a moment -just before Pete dragged you into the argument. You let out an annoyed sigh, trying to compromise between the two. With the corner of your eye you saw Bill trying to hide a smile behind his usual annoyed expression, as jerry almost ate the pavement after tripping.
Yeah, they weren't the typical friends you would expect, but maybe? Maybe they weren't so bad.
