Im Just A Little Guy

These are my rates if you wanna get something nice from me :]

When I mean mecha i mean heavily detailed machine parts btw. Like irl cars or full on anime mecha.

Like, due to both size and general imposter squishy-ness (though maybe less-so on account of them being hybrids), do they often end up in the vents and get stuck in other places where they shouldn't be where they need help to get out of? Or getting things like tiny boxes stuck on their heads like cats sometimes do?

The ship needed to be baby proofed (mostly just the kitchen really) but they still invent new ways to get into trouble, they are curious little critters after all

Red-holds them horizontally like a fish sometimes but will sometimes hold them in their palm because they think it’s how you hold things you wanna show off. Grubs will crawl under the hat and “wear” it while still being on red’s head. Is more likely to place them on countertops

Orange-wraps the babies up using tendrils in imposter form, always uses extra to make sure that they don’t even have the chance to fall. In crew form they tend to just let the grubs on the ground for safety reasons unless theres a puddle, then they use both hands to lift them out of liability danger

Yellow-grubs for the most part aren’t allowed in the kitchen for their own safety so if they are there, yellow scoops them up similar to how you hold a burger but gently. Outside the kitchen they will put the grubs in their apron pocket to walk around in

Lime-on their head or back since that’s the safest place for them in their mind. The babies follow them into the vents sometimes like ducks

Green- very casual when holding grubs in true form, the babies aren’t made out of glass and they’ve got more than enough limbs to corral them. In crewmate form, they tend to tuck their grub in the inter section of their shoulder (?) and hands- it’s a naturally defensive stance. Has a very fast reaction time in both states

Cyan-holds them a little like a drink before getting nervous and asking how to actually hold the grubs, gets a wide variety of answers as you can see, tends to see what the hatchlings want to do

Blue- supports the head and distributes weight evenly, perfect grub holding form no matter what swoon.

Brown- swaddles them sometimes but for the most part has one hand holding them close to their body and one free hand

Black-perches them on their shoulders like a parrot,or how you sometimes hold a snake like a necklace, thinks this is more nonchalant but also thinks this is more comfortable for the little guys

Aliens are real!!

As you can probably imagine everyone has a different idea on what to do, or how to protect these babies moving forward

Orange thinks that maybe if they just hide the hybrid traits for the rest of their entire lives they could still have fulfilling lives inside Mira but you can see that that reasoning is very shaky and one slip up is all it’ll take to have things crumble down.

Green wants to nurture the babies hunting instincts so that they could live in the wild reasonably well. That way Mira won’t be able to track them down and they wouldn’t have to pretend for anyone but themselves. They are argue that it would be the safest option for everyone

Idea for an enemy based on some great healthcare systems! As well as “ambulance chasers” the concepts of harpies and vultures and dental not being included with insurance

I’ll have to draw her shadow the Paulbearer soon, her gimmick would be the addition of a new tile type: gold which would continue to increase in value as turns are taken

Some gimmicks I’d like to see for pp enemies would be

Red is a very good role model guys

Bodies for puppets are wonderfully weird and soft

Each grub has a mix of interests and colors, though their “default” is based on their parent’s dna- they are little chameleons who are curious in nature. They parrot phrases they hear a lot and mimic behaviors to be “part of the in group”- wild imposters do this for higher chances of survival with other species whereas domesticated ones are taught which behaviors to mimic to blend in.

This ask made me remember that theres a bit of a strange thing with naming in among us lol, they are color names obviously but it seems also like family names since purple is actually named violet? Also we don’t actually know what imposter’s names are like, I assume they just take the name of whoever they disguise as and don’t actually have common names like crewmates do.

Here’s what I think each crewmate would name their little guy since they agreed it would make sense for them to do it that way instead of arguing about each little grub.

Red: Lighting (has to change it after everyone figures out that it’s a misspelling of a very popular video game character’s name) is now crimson light (the suffix was haggled down)

Yellow: Ochre, a no frills traditional crewmate name but is also a clay that changes colors like these little guys

Cyan: Aquamarine, a beautiful blue gem that’s also a birthstone and sounds a little like Aquarius

Brown: Mocha, a sweet coffee name (I mean one of brown and yellows had to be food themed I mean come on)

Black: Onyx, a shiny ingenious ore just like the inside of the eggs that brought them to them

Purple: Scylla, despite contesting red’s name is also still a big nerd (half person half deadly tentacles)

will the hatchlings lose their parents? will they miss them? also drop a fanfic

Green still has their murderous instincts but is also smart enough to know that even if they get rid of these crewmates, Mira will still come after their hatchlings regardless

The crewmates are attached to these little ones so green can make the educated assumption that they wouldn’t want to see them harmed. It’s just a matter of how they all plan to see these guys grow up well

If the babies loose their parents i do think they’d miss them since they have a more crewmate centered upbringing, that being loving and caring for young even after they can walk and eat.
