mercurial mess

Found this tiny baby on the garden today. My dog was signaling that there was something on the ground, so I approached her and saw that there was the tiniest bird there. I was so afraid it'd be injured, but after I took it home to check I realised it was just a bit stunned and tired. I put it in this box next to where I had found it, with water and some seeds, and after a while it started to perk up and call for mum. I wasn't sure it'd work, but mum finally showed up a while later and patiently encouraged baby Nikki (yes, I had to name it) until the little one managed to take off with her.

when she fell off a third floor (having sneaked into a bedroom pushed the window open and torn a hole on the mosquito screen, and slipped on the balcony railing), had a pneumotorax and broke her leg so badly that they had to put iron rods to hold it together

when she suddenly gave a hellish meow/growl and started throwing up and having explosive diarrhea AT THE SAME TIME (as in, coming out both sides simultaneously)

when we thought she had broken her tail and couldn't move her back legs, but it turned out she was in pain because she had ANOTHER ABSCESS on her butt
