I am so grateful for my small life in which I may not own or do much of anything but am also experiencing no immediate stress besides benzo withdrawal. Today I woke up with my cat on top of me, stared at the sun through the blinds, drank a lot of corn silk tea, did dishes, talked w/my dad about work but that was too overwhelming so I cried and then we talked about running shoes instead, walked a little and saw the orange sunset behind the buildings, watched a little John Wilson with my brother & his bf. Anxiety loops through my mind constantly but I put anything besides the immediate next step on the back burner. If I get too anxious I just go to my room and lay down. I think this experience will serve me well for the rest of my life because I have always been so strong-willed and intense but I see the value in just letting anything that upsets me slide. It’s a survival tactic
