David’s POV

I woke up to find her stuff gone. Broken glass on the floor fromold picture frames chucked across the room. It became evident last night thatwe had to get a divorce. The shouting and cussing still ringing in my ears, itwas a mistake to get married. I had never thought that the woman I spent so muchtime thinking about, so much time loving, would cheat on me…

Most day were a drag, boring and uneventful. There were onlytwo things that made those dull days a little brighter, training and Y/N.

Your POV

Other than cleaning David’s house, your mission was to makehim smile. You knew that to him you were only a maid, but to you he waseverything. You spent countless hours daydreaming of him and when he’d realisethat you were completely smitten, but it was called a dream for a reason.

You were washing the dishes with your headphones in, loudlysinging along. You were just about done so you turned around and mortified, sawDavid sitting there giggling.

“Well this is embarrassing” You laughed, blushing.

“Why’d you stop” David giggled.  “I was enjoying that, you know next year I reckonyou should go on X Factor.”

“Ha ha, you’re so funny David” You rolled your eyes with ahint of a smile on your face. You were pretty much done for the day so youdecided to get your stuff and leave.

“Wait, Y/N do you have to go now?” David asked lookingslightly nervous.

“Uh not really, I’ve just finished here so I was gonna gohome”

“Do you- um I mean, would you mind staying maybe? I’m just -I’ve got nothing to do today and I was wondering if you maybe wanted to hangout?” He stuttered. You weren’t sure why he was acting so weird and nervous butyou didn’t care, you just wanted to spend some time with him.

“Yeh sure. What do you want to do?”

You spent the rest of the day chatting, playing Fifa (and losingmuch to your annoyance), baking brownies and watching movies together. You weregenuinely having the best day of your life, getting to know David. You thoughtyou’d occasionally caught him looking at you during the day but you wereconvinced it was just your imagination. A hot, famous, kind footballer wouldnever be into his maid right?

The lights were dim and the movie was almost over and you hadn’teven realised but you and David had ended up sitting pretty close to eachother.

“Y/N?” David whispered, his face close to yours. Your heartstarting beating fast as you looked into his big hazel eyes. “I – I know thismight be weird, seeing you’re my maid and all…” You winced at the word maid.You had secretly hoped that after today he would consider you as somethingdifferent. “Well, I - I think I’m starting to fall for you…”

Your eyes shot up in surprise. Did you hear that right? Did theman you have been in love with for ages just say he was falling in love withyou? You couldn’t help the cheesy grin that covered your face.

“And,” He continued “I was wondering if you would go outwith me?” In that moment you were pretty sure your heart burst with happiness.

You were just chilling on Neymar’s bed when he ran in the room and threw himself on top of you “Neymar!!!” You squealed as he started tickling me. “Get off meeee” You laughed.

“Sorry babe I missed you” he pressed his soft lips against yours before pulling away. “Oh and would it be ok if some of the boys come round?” Ugh. You had wanted to spend the night just you two but didn’t’ want to be one of those clingy girlfriends so you just put a smile on your face and went with it. “Yeah sure what time are they coming?” “Probably a couple hours, invite some of your friends too so you don’t get too bored” Neymar winked as he left to go play some more Fifa.

You told your best friend, Sarah, to come over so we could get ready together.

“You’re so lucky Y/N. Neymar is so in love with you, you don’t have to worry about being single.” You blushed a little as she said this. “He is pretty great… but enough about me, is there anyone coming you fancy? Someone like Rafinha??” you playfully nudged her. “Shut up Y/N! I mean… I wouldn’t say no” She said and you both burst into laughter.

Within a few hours everyone had pretty much arrived. You had decided on wearing a short black figure hugging dress, nothing too fancy. Neymar, Jil and a few others were round the dining table playing poker and you spotted Raf coming through the door way. “Rafa!!! How are you?” You said brining him into a hug. “I’m good Y/N! You look great tonight by the way.” “Thanks, so do you.” You laughed it off. You and Raf had been friends way before you and Neymar had started going out and compliments had never meant anything more.

You spent a lot of the night with Raf trying to chat up Sarah, as you knew how much she liked him and you were pretty sure he liked her too. As you and Raf were laughing you noticed Neymar glaring at you from the other side of the room. “Uh Raf I’ll be right back.” You said as you made your way towards Ney.

“Hey, are you ok? You seem annoyed.” You whispered to Neymar as you sat down next to him. “No. I’m not fucking ok.” He spat and he got up and went upstairs. You were a little shocked at his reaction and tears began to well up. You got up and followed him upstairs and saw him sitting on his bed with his head in his hands.

“Neymar?”

“What do you want Y/N?”

“I want to know what the hell your problem is!” Your voice raising slightly.

“Why don’t you just go back to flirting with Rafinha? I shouldn’t have been worried you’d be bored since he was coming to keep you entertained!” Neymar shouted. Wait what? You were confused. All this fuss because he was jealous of you and Rafinha? You tried not to roll your eyes at how ridiculous he was being.

“Ney, you’re an idiot.” You said sharply. “Sarah likes Raf so I’m being her wing woman and I’m pretty sure he likes her too.”

“Oh…” Neymar said, feeling embarrassed. You both stayed quiet for a couple of minutes.

“Y/N I - I’m sorry I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions. It’s just, it’s hard for me sometimes. You’re such a beautiful girl and I get worried guys will try to steal you away from me” Neymar whispered. You went to sit next him and took his hand.

“Neymar, no one will ever take me away from you.”

My face went pale as I opened my eyes to the little plussign on the test. Crap. The fear began to set in as I imagined how Neymar wouldreact. I knew he loved Davi with all his heart and I knew he wanted more kidssomeday… but he and I had only been going out for three months and this washappening way too fast.  I was runningthrough the options in my mind when I heard him call my name from the livingroom.

“Y/N come down the movie is about to start” he yelled. “I’llbe down in a sec”. I shoved the test in my bag and decided telling Neymar wouldbe tomorrow’s problem.

Halfway through the movie I got a text from my best friend,she sent a picture of her new baby starting to walk! “Que lindo!” Neymar saidfrom over my shoulder. “Ahah yeh he’s cute isn’t he?” I replied. “Y/N how doyou feel about kids?” I began to panic. What if he knew? How did he know? I couldfeel my cheeks starting to burn up. “Uh I, I’d want to have kids someday yeh…what about you though, do you want more?” His answer would tell me so much, I wasjust hoping it was the one I’d want to hear.

“I would. I’m not sure when, but I definitely would.” I didn’tquite know what to think from that response. It was good that he wantedchildren but what if he didn’t want them now? With me?

A couple minutes later I quickly stood up and walked off tothe bedroom. “Y/N? Where did you go?” Neymar chuckled. I reappeared in theliving room clutching my bag.

“Neymar, we need to talk.”

“Did I do something wrong?”

I took out the test that showed positive. “Look,” I began, “Idon’t expect you to stick around and I’m certainly not forcing you intoanything but well… I think it’s only fair to tell you that I am pregnant.” He stayedsilent, a glint of anger in his eyes. I could feel the tears starting to wellup but I was determined to stay strong. I could do this. I mean, how hard couldit be to raise a kid on my own?

“I understand it’s a huge shock and I said you don’t have tobe involved. I can handle this myself- “What?!” Neymar suddenly shouted. “You think I’m just going to get up and leaveyou?? You don’t know me at all Y/N” I didn’t know what to say so I stayed quiet.

“I get that we’ve only been together for a few months but sowhat? I’ve always imagined a family with you, just because it’s happening soonerthan I thought doesn’t change anything.” He turned my cheek to face him andwiped my tears with his thumb. “I love you Y/N and I can’t wait to raise achild with you.”

“I love you too Neymar” I replied before he kissed me softly
