Father of the twins: well done princess! Just hold on tight...
I color it like it's a child's drawing, and I love it, it's a memory of the twins. I have the idea that both of them are from the countryside and used to get into various problems together and above all, Anne was much more chaotic and courageous than Sebastian (at least when children because growing up she became quieter and Sebastian a mess with legs)

Several people have already called Ominis an axolotl, so Iâd like to tell you about another fascinating animal. The olm.
Unlike the axolotl, the olm has a long body and looks like a little pale dragon, while the axolotl has a huge head and a chubby body. Olms are BLIND, which is exactly why I chose this animal out of all possible options.
He is OLMinis, not AXOLOTminis wahahaha
And as for the Raccoostian... Remember that video where a raccoon flooded his ownerâs apartment and then tried to wipe up the mess with a sock? Thatâs Sebastian.

Promise Iâm alive and well, just casually found myself on the opposite side of the globe on a casual Monday last week. Took some getting used to the time difference, but thus Iâve conquered.
PS: someone tell him to tuck his shirt in, itâs distracting
There is an old tale whispered among sailors.
Never whistle upon the sea in the dead of night.
For should you do so,
the whistle shall return to youâ
louder than before,
clearer than before,
sweeter⌠almost like a song.
And beneath that song,
Those who hear it cannot help but follow.
For the song is beautiful, and enchanting.
Something stirs, rippling, in the water.
Something with silver scales, glimmering in the dark.
Something ominous, within a dark silhouette.
and the sea is lonely at night.
And perhapsâŚ
if fortune still smiles upon youâŚ
you may glimpse them at last,
the mermaids.

The Potions lesson had never been this tense. Sebastian was trying to hold himself together, but it wasnât going well. So he silently ground Occamy eggshell, pouring every ounce of his simmering irritation into each movement. Beside him sat his new friendâa Gryffindor girl who had appeared at Hogwarts at the start of the year. Behind her sat Ominis, who was the source of Sebastianâs tension.
They had argued right before class, when Ominis realised Sebastian had once again broken into the Restricted Section in search of a book that might help Anne. On top of that, Ominis couldnât understand why Sebastian had dragged the Gryffindor girl into any of it. They had fought over her oftenâGaunt would shout at him that she would ruin everything, that they barely knew each other, yet Sebastian was already ready to trust her with his secrets.
Over time, Ominis had struck up a friendship with her as well and made peace with her presence in their duo, but he couldnât make peace with Sebastianâs recklessness, nor with the fact that he was pulling the girl into his dark schemes. Sebastian disagreed, they had argued, and now the three of them were stuck working on a group project together.
âOminis, could you stir the potion a little less vigorously, please? Itâs about to spill over the cauldron,â the Gryffindor girl said quietly.
âI am stirring exactly as the recipe requires,â he didnât even turn his head toward her, though his wand gave an almost imperceptible twitch. âSome of us care about following the rules so we donât end up with an explosion in our faces. Although it seems Sebastian has lately developed a preference for dangerous mixtures, hasnât he? Ingredients that have no business being in this cauldron.â
Sebastian made a sharp movement with the knife upon hearing the furious whisper of his best friend.
âIf youâre implying that I canât choose my allies wisely, Ominis, then just say it outright,â the boy hissed. âBut donât forgetâsometimes itâs the âunpredictableâ ingredients that save a hopeless potion. While youâre too afraid to deviate from the instructions by even an inch, weâre simply wasting time.â
âA hopeless potion?!â Ominis snapped.
âMr Gaunt,â Professor Sharpâs displeased voice cut through the general silence of the classroom. âThe lesson ends in five minutes. Keep your emotions in check until then.â
âI apologise, Professor,â Ominis muttered, dropping his gaze, but a few minutes later he continued, quieter now, addressing Sebastian alone. âYou call âhopelessâ anything that doesnât fit into your dangerous fantasies. You drag outsiders into matters that donât concern them, destroying the one thing we have leftâtrust.â
Sebastian only gripped the knife handle harder, his jaw clenched so tight that the muscles stood out sharp along his cheeks.
âTrust doesnât mean blindly following your fears, Ominis. If youâre too afraid to act, that doesnât mean I have to stand by and watch everything fall apart.â
âThe lesson is over,â Sharp announced. âClear your stations, please.â
Sebastian flicked his wand, gathering the ingredients into pouches. Ominis muttered something under his breath, extinguishing the flame beneath the cauldron. The Gryffindor girl felt her own patience evaporate faster than the steam rising from the potion. She set the ladle down sharply, and it rang loudly against the rim of the copper vessel. Both boys fell silent for a moment, sensing the shift in her energy.
She wiped her hands on her apron, gathered her parchments into one decisive pile, andâwithout looking at Professor Sharpâground out through clenched teeth, just loud enough for the two of them to hear, âYou two idiots, Undercroft. Now. If you canât sort out your egos on your own, weâll do it somewhere nobody can give us ninety hours of detention for your dramatics. Move. Right now.â
The trio left the classroom quickly. They made their way through the castle corridors, moving several feet apart from one another toward the Undercroft. The girl walked firstâher stride quick and purposeful, blonde hair streaming behind her with each sharp step. Behind her came Ominis, wand raised, emitting a red glow that helped the boy navigate. He was scowling, breathing heavily, trying not to fall too far behind. He still couldnât accept the fact that Sebastian had brought her to their hideout. Sebastian himself trailed behind them, hands stuffed in his pockets, head bowed.
At last the three of them slipped into the Undercroft. The cold walls echoed every furious footstep, the torches along the walls casting long shadows of all three. The girl waved her wand and conjured a table and two chairs facing each other.
âSit,â she commanded.
âAnd why would I?â Ominis hissed.
âBecause I am done being a buffer between your immature grievances,â the girl cut him off, crossing her arms over her chest. âYouâre both acting as though this castle isnât big enough for your egos. Gaunt, sit down. Now. Sallow, you too. Weâre not leaving until you learn to talk to each other.â
Sebastian sighed, rolling his eyes, but dropped into the chair regardless, throwing a defiant look at Ominis. Gaunt hesitated for a few more seconds, gripping his wand so tightly his knuckles went white, but finally sat as well, his back ramrod straight, as though on trial at the Ministry.
âGood,â the girl said, moving toward the exit. âIâm giving you ten minutes. If I hear the sound of spells rather than human speech when I come backâIâll tell Professor Weasley where you disappear to in the evenings.â
She turned and walked out into the corridor, leaving them in a heavy, almost physically palpable silence.
Sebastian broke it first. He leaned back in his chair and began twisting a button on his robe between his fingers.
âShe was incredible today, wasnât she?â he said suddenly, and his voice carried a strange, almost theatrical tenderness. âThe way she put us both in our place⌠You know, Ominis, I think Iâm truly in love with her. Sheâs exactly what I need.â
Ominis flinched as though struck by a whip. Jealousyâsharp and coldâpierced him clean through. He couldnât let Sebastian win this round.
âYouâre as shallow as ever, Sebastian,â Ominis replied coldly, lifting his chin. âYou only want another accomplice for your schemes. Whereas I⌠I see so much more in her. Her mind. Her patience with an idiot like you. If anyone here has any right to her heart, itâs certainly not you with your dark tomes.â
Sebastian leaned sharply forward, his eyes flashing dangerously.
âYou?! You, who not ten minutes ago said sheâd ruin everything? Donât be ridiculous, Ominis. Youâre simply afraid of being left alone, so youâre clinging to her like a lifeline.â
âWhat?! What can you even give her, Sallow, besides trips to the Restricted Section and the chaos you drag in your wake?â
âAt least I can keep her entertained with adventures instead of sitting around with a permanently sour face and complaining.â
âEntertain her with adventures? You call constant danger of expulsionâor worseâentertainment?â Ominisâs voice broke into a hoarse whisper, thick with venomous contempt. âYouâre not in love with her, Sebastian. You just need a mirror in which you look like a hero rather than the egoist you actually are!â
Sebastian shot to his feet, sending the chair scraping back with a crash against the stone wall.
âAnd you?!â he shouted, finally losing all control. âYou hide behind her like a shield! Itâs very convenient to play the saint beside her while I do all the dirty work! You talk about her mind, her patience⌠But you donât know even half of the way she looks at me when youâre not around!â
Ominis rose as well, his face pale as chalk, the wand in his hand trembling with fury.
âEnough!â Gaunt cried. âEnough lying to my face! Youâre doing this on purpose. You know how much she means to me, and youâre trying to take her just because you canât stand it when I have something of my own, something⌠real!â
âYour own?!â Sebastian stepped forward, closing the distance to almost nothing. âSheâs not your property, Ominis! And do you know what? I donât even care about her! What drives me mad is that youâre using her to push me away. Again.â
âWhat are you on about?â Ominis faltered for a moment, thrown off by the sudden shift in attack.
Sebastian was breathing hard, studying the bewildered face of his friend, searching his eyes for something he desperately hoped to find there.
âExactly what you heard,â Sebastian said quietly, stepping up until there was barely any space between them. Ominis didnât step back. âYou go on and on about how wonderful she is just to hide something else, donât you? Itâs easier to convince yourself youâre in love with a Gryffindor girl than to admit that you hate me for being the only one who sees you as you really are.â
Ominisâs brows lifted in surprise. Sebastian drew a slow breath.
âHow do youââ
âIâm doing the same thing, Ominis. Iâve been spouting nonsense about her eyes because if I stopâeven for a secondâIâll lose my mind from how desperately I want you to stop talking about her.â
The Undercroft fell so silent that the dying torches could be heard guttering. The ragged breathing of both of them merged into a single rhythm. Ominis went still, his fingersâwhich had been clutching his wand so tightlyâslowly uncurled.
âYou⌠Youâre saying she means nothing to you?â he barely whispered.
âSheâs my friend,â Sebastian breathed, not stepping back. âBut sheâs not you. And she never will be.â
Ominis slowly raised his hand and touched Sebastianâs forearm.
âYouâre such an idiot, Sallow,â he said, and there was no anger left in his voiceâonly infinite exhaustion, and something that sounded very much like relief. âBecause Iâve been trying to convince myself of the same thing this whole time.â
âSo⌠What now?â
âI think itâs time we were both honest with ourselves, Sebastian.â
âCouldnât agree more,â the boy whispered, tilting up his friendâs perpetually downcast chin.
Sebastian leaned in and kissed Ominis softly.
âIdiots,â came a voice from the doorway, where their friend stood smiling wider than she ever had before.ââââââââââââââââ
