Researchs on Wakfu S02, episod 16 (“The curse fountain”) on Alia. Like I said on the previous post, I didn’t have enough time to do “real chara-design” because I was busy on Fxs so my intention was to find ideas and not necessary a complete charadesign. That’s why, the sketchs are not specially amazing. Very quickly, I thought it was a good idea to make her an ecaflip but I was asked to change that because it might interfere with an other character from the Krozmos. So I tried to change it while keeping the main silhouette, it explains the things on her head and the tail became a very long scarf.
This episod is interesting because it shows how much a script could change even during a production. On the very first version of the script, Alia was a girl locked up in a cage by his own father and the only thing she can do all day was to knit. The fountain had a very VERY BIG secret hidden in the water: the Shinonome dofus ! Around the fountain, a curse has been put to erase memory on everybody that tries to approach, even on the guardian, Bordegann who forgot about the reasons of his mission. Now, you can imagine how important this episod was supposed to be in wakfu season 02, it was also written to be divided into two parts.
At the end, the result is very different. I don’t know why it changed that much but I hope theses informations were interesting to read !Â
