‘’Both.’’ Thomas said pouring the beverage in his cup. ‘’My mother decided to date this guy…’’ He sighed sipping on his drink. ‘’he’s bad, man.’’

“How bad?” 

Thomas scratched the back of his head. ‘’Family’s giving me a headache.’’ He said not wanting to explain. ‘’How about you?’’ He asked. ‘’You seem great.’’

“I am great, yeah, everything’s pretty okay,” he said, shrugging slightly. “You wanna talk about your family or have me let you drink?”

‘’Bottoms up.’’ Thomas said gulping his drink down. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and looked at the other person. ‘’So, what do you want?’’

Meridian chuckled. “I’m good, actually,” he said, nudging the man. “Had a problem lately?”

“Uh I’m your fave ? You never told me that before,thanks.’’

“Well, everyone’s my fave--it’s assumptive.”

“Oops,sorry Meridian. I thought you were someone else. What’s up ?’’

“Just wanted to hang, got a little bored, figured I could chill with my fave for a bit.”

“Oh you are in my room.. I hope you have an explanation ‘cause I’ve had a really rough day and seeing a stranger in my room is not very helpful at the moment.’’

“Stranger? Damn, Natara,” he said, leaning against her door.

Skye looked up at him, smiling when she heard his words. “Good. It’d be awkward if you didn’t, right?”

“You’re correct,” he said, chuckling.

“You got it.” The girl nodded. “I don’t trust humans. I don’t even trust daemons but, y’know – our kind is our kind. I refuse to think badly of abominations until proven wrong. We got enough people against us.”

“That’s exactly how I feel,” he said, pulling her close again.

“Of course you’d say that. And yeah, are you surprised?”

“I never talk about sex, let me have that one,” he whined, “And yeah, a little. Most of us don’t trust easy.”

“Bruises look nice on me, hickeys and whatnot, but not blood. And wow, I’m glad you trust me.”

“Depends. Are you one of the pranksters that keep leaving me unwanted presents?”

“No, I’m already screwed because I’m an abomination, I wouldn’t screw myself further.”

He smiled at the tug on his arm and shrugged slightly. “Most of it, yeah,” he said, and then nodded, “I figured. I was named after Prime Meridian. My sister was named after Compass Rose. My mom was a cartographer.” He raised an eyebrow at the question and looked back at the walls. “It depends. Some of them were drunk drawings, others are about people, the list goes on.” He shrugged again and looked back down at him.
