Hey yâall! Iâm sorta back but sorta not. During my hiatus I planned a visit with a friend so sheâll be in town âtil Friday! I wonât have time to roleplay âtil she leaves, so Iâm gonna use that time to finish my last few theme and tag edits to my blogs. But Iâm gonna be around again and I will get back to my threads this weekend. :3
(Semi-)Hiatus Announcement (June 22nd - July 10th)
Hey friends. You may have noticed Iâve been less active lately. Around the time I started up this blog I was finishing up my bachelorâs degree. Since then Iâve been planning a move. Iâve been pretty consistently stressed throughout this period and having been in school for so long has gotten me in a âmust be productiveâ headspace where I keep turning things that should be fun (writing, reading, RPing) into chores because Iâm not used to having time to relax.Â
Add to this that I will be out of the country for over a week, starting next week, searching for places in the city Iâll be moving to. During this time, though Iâll have spotty internet access, Iâll probably be too busy or tired to have the muse for threads.
I also have some plans I want to enact for my tumblr RPing. So Iâm putting my blogs on hiatus before my trip so that I can work on that, clear my head, make important progress on my move and then get back into RPing with the right headspace.
My plans are:
Revamp dejavavoomâs theme.
Plot out Gentleman!Tracer AU.
Update and reorganize my RP rules.
Revamp my tagging system.
Start using RPThreadTracker to track my threads.
Trim my following list.
Get my Widowmaker blog up and running.
Get smut sideblogs up for @mercyforthedevil & my WM blog.
Get a steadier queue presence, with more music and aesthetics posts on all my blogs.
As such I will be on hiatus/semi-hiatus from today (June 22nd) to July 10th. I may be active now and again, probably not for threads, as I tool around with my blogs. Feel free to reach me via IM, or at my personal @sleepytimegalpal. My intention is to keep most of my threads on this blog running. If Iâm dropping a thread with you I will let you know. If you donât want to wait two weeks for replies from me, I understand perfectly. But I need to do this for both my mental/emotional health and to ensure my move goes smoothly.
Donât be strangers, though! Iâm loving the OW RP community and canât wait to be back and active here. Youâre wonderful, and Iâll be back soon. Hopefully the hiatus will give me time to work on fanfics, and anything published will be reblogged here.
Lotsa love,
Yasha

Widowmaker rolled her eyes and looked around. Despite the change Angela might have gone through, she still knew how to keep the medical areas cleanâŠaside from the smoke. âI donât have a preference.â Rather than answer she leaned against the window sill and sighed. Eventually she would answer although hesitantly. âDroite ⊠amis.â
Angela smiles slightly at the amis. A late night chat with a Talon assassin is odd, but sheâs thankful for the company, and perhaps Widowmaker is exactly the type of company she belongs in. âSo, how have you been, Sperling?â she asks. âIs your vork vith Talon treating you vell?â
Unrecognized Genius
â Iâma little hurt, doc.â The junker gestures towards some crates they could use for their own private table. âYouâre the last one here Iâd intentionally hurt.â Placing the glasses down he started fidgeting with the cork on the bottle.â I mean, I know ya donât like me but ya still patch me up,â stopping for a second to place his hand over his heart and look Mercy in the eyesÂ
âand I really do appreciate that.â With a dull POP the cork came loose, and Junkrat gave the most reassuring smile he could âFiyah in the hole!â Taking three large gulps from the bottle he inhaled through his teeth. â Ooly dooly,â he blinked rapidly and struggled to get the words out,â thatâs a strong batch.â Regaining composure he poured both glasses half way and corked the bottle. Junkrat watched Mercyâs face curl. He looked at the bottle and back to her âDun worry, thereâs enough alcohol in that to kill whatevah it is ya think I ave.â He dragged two smaller crates over to either side of the âtableâ and sat down with a clink from the canteen he kept around his waste. He motioned, palm up, over the crate between them, to the empty seat. âMight wanna keep that away from youâre glassâ he pointed to the cigarette briefly then picked up his glass , âI did hope this would spark a conversation.â He started to chuckle, â but I sure wouldnât want it to blow up in my face.â
Angela rolls her eyes at the junkerâs theatrics. âIâm sure you do, rat,â she says as she stubs her cigarette out on the heel of her boot. She canât help but continue to grimace at the manâs demeanor, but she accepts the offered âseat,â sitting herself daintily atop the box.Â
She picks up her glass and swishes the murky liquid around, lifting it to her nose to give it a sniff and immediately recoiling at the smell. âMy, vhat an exotic bouquet,â she says dryly. She raises her glass. âProst!â she says, knocking back the entire cup in a single gulp. It feels like swallowing battery acid.
She coughs and smacks a fist into her chest. A full body shudder runs through her form, and she reaches for the bottle. âBracing,â she says as a wry smile spreads across her face. She uncorks the bottle and pours herself another glass. âSo, ve are conversing. Vhat is it you vant, Fawkes?â

A Ghost in the Flesh
76 gave a grunt at this.  Dead⊠most of Jack had indeed been killed, but what was left formed into what stood before Angela now- an old and very grump soldier bent on giving those responsible for Overwatchâs collapse justice. Â
âYouâre right,â 76 replied⊠not yet knowing quite how to explain things to his old teammate.
At the confirmation that the figure was indeed Jack, Angela rapidly strides over to the man and slaps him across the face. The blow is strong enough to jerk his head to the side, and Angela winces as she strikes the hard material of his mask. âScheiĂe!â she exclaims as she clutches her injured hand.
She looks Jack right in his eyes (visor?), pure unbridled fury painting her face, and begins shouting at him. âHow dare you? How dare you? Leaving me to zink you vere dead all zese years!â She paces back and forth, gesticulating with one hand and rooting around for her cigarettes with the other. âI may not alvays have agreed vith Overvatchâs methods, but I cared for you Jack! And I thought ze feeling vas mutual.â
She pulls a cigarette from her purse and lights it up. âIch bin so was von blöd!â she hisses to herself under her breath and turns her back to the soldier, crossing her arms over her chest.
O Fallen Angel // Mercy & Devil Mercy
[ @mercyforthedevil liked for a starter ]
âHmmmâŠâ Angela pleasantly exclaims as the rich scent of freshly brewed tea filled her lungs, the fragrance permeating her entire clinic. Chamomile laced with ginseng and an assortment of other herbs. It helped calm her nerves and relieve stress.
As she was about to serve herself some tea, a brilliant white light would envelop the room, momentarily blinding her. Before long, the light would disperse as quickly as it appeared and her vision would gradually return to her.
In the wake of the phantom light, situated in the centre of her office was a figure garbed in crimson. Instinctively, the good doctor rushed to their side, carefully turning them over and was greeted by a face she was all too familiar with - her own.
âVhat⊠Zis canât beâŠâ
Angelaâthe other Angela who has been unceremoniously deposited in the roomâstirs slightly. Her eye lids flutter open, revealing bloodshot, lavender hued irises. She groggily raises one hand to her head, feeling through tangles of dark hair for possible bumps or bruises. She groans and shifts, before her eyes focus on the woman kneeling over her.
Herself...? A better version of herself perhaps; less worn around the edges, hair still its natural blonde, skin healthier. âMein Gott,â she says, âZis vas not vhat I expected from ze afterlife.â She leans tentatively on one elbow, and clutches her head. She can feel a the seeds of a throbbing headache budding in her skull.Â
âSo, is zis like Huis Clos, but vith a less fakakta doppelganger as company?â she asks. âSo, âFrau Doktor,â are you here to put my miserable life in perspective before chuffing me off to ... vherever vomen like myself go?â The significantly more prickly version of Dr. Ziegler attempts to stand on shaky legs.
Send me a kink/fetish and Iâll tell you whether or not my muse is into it.

âDonât you look good on your knees with all that cum in your face.â âYouâre not allowed to wear underwear tomorrow when you go out.â âBend over the windowsill so I can fuck you and you can look outside and smile at the neighbours.â âSpread your legs and finger yourself. Look me in the eyes so I can see your pleasure.â âNo, youâre not allowed to wear anything today. And no, Iâm not closing the curtains.â âWhen I count to ten, youâre going to cum.â âYou look good getting fucked⊠Now smile for the camera.â âYouâre going to put that inside of you and Iâm going to keep the remote and give you pleasure whenever I feel like it. Maybe even tomorrow when youâre having that presentation youâve worked so hard for.â âLook at you all tied up with cum running down your legs⊠I think Iâm going to keep you there for a while. Maybe show you off to my friends.â âI want you to record yourself masturbating and then youâre going to send it to me so I can decide whether itâs good enough to put online. Now donât disappoint me.â âWear this collar so everyone knows youâre mine.â âI want you to leave the bathroom door unlocked whenever youâre in there. You donât deserve privacy.â âIâve got a party tonight. I want you to be the âspecial entertainmentâ, if you get my drift.â âLook at that tail. Doesnât it suit you well, pet? Iâll feed you if you behave.â âFrom now on, whenever someone asks you where you got those bruises, youâre going to tell them your Master gave them to you as a gift.â âNow stick out your tongue so I can cum on it.â âIâve never seen a dick that small. Are you sure itâs even there? Itâs not worth my time anyway. Get on your knees and make yourself useful.â âLick up the mess you made.â âOh look at you being all flustered. Iâm sorry, but youâre not allowed to cum for another week⊠at least.â

It would be tempting for a woman more prone to immediate and irrational emotional response to get angryâ furious, evenâ at the borderline-unhinged rant that the fallen doctor hurls her way. Insect, weapon, pettyâ all things sheâs heard before, and rendered in far worse and more colorful terminology.Â
But AmĂ©lie is sloth-slow to emotions, including anger, even on her best days. For now, all that manifests is a mild sense of amusement and a slow canting down of her head, a raise of her tattooed arm, and a gentle flick against her lavender chest to swat away the cigarette ashes that have rudely left themselves there following the doctorâs disposal of her vice stick.
[ âIf I vere to stub out a cigarette on your skin, would you care?â ]
âYou tell me, docteur,â she responds languidly, making sure all the ash is off her chest before she looks up, locks eyes with Angela by peering down from above the rim her sunglasses, which are slid slightly down her nose now. âYou just did precisely that, after all. And you are trying much too hard to upset meâ really, all that is getting insulted by any of this little outburst is your own intelligence.â
By now sheâs strode over to the nearest street lamp, her mechanical legs (the feet of which seem to be fashioned into artful looking haute couture heels) whir-clicking a bit with each step, and has leaned herself up against it. Her gaze never leaves Angela, even as a confused and somewhat worried couple across the street starts to power-walk in the opposite direction following the doctorâs outburst.
âI am curious. If you think I am such a weapon who cannot, and who does not, feel⊠Would I not simply have killed you the second you stepped off that train? From what I have gathered, there are few people who would, at this point, miss you.â Thereâs nearly no emotion to AmĂ©lieâs voice, but she clearly gets the sense that every word carries infinitely more aural daggers with it (despite her relative deadpan) than the entirety of the fallen angelâs vitriol-soaked angry rant.
â⊠ahh. But, since I did not do that, and you have now had a moment to finish your crise de colĂšre,â she pauses a moment for emphasis, searching the doctorâs eyes for comprehension before continuing. âThen perhaps we can logically assume noâ no, I do not wish to hurt you. You are a woman who is running faster than those legs can carry you, Angela. And I would like to know, âfrom whatâ? Et c'est comme ça.â
The verbal barbs hurt, but AmĂ©lieâs dispassionate expression somehow dulls them. Itâs pointed, but Angela is uncertain the other women is even capable of âpersonalâ at present. The thing that stings most isnât that sheâs being played with, itâs being confronted by the spectre of past failure. She studies AmĂ©lieâs face and tries to remember what it looked like with green eyes and a smile.
Angela sighs dejectedly and rolls her shoulders. Whatâs the use of struggling when one is already thoroughly trapped in a web? âEt c'est comme ça?â Angela repeats as a question. She chuckles, an edge of self-deprecation in the laugh. âSomehow I do not zhink so. Very vell, zhen, sit vith me?â
She seats herself on a bench beneath the street lamp, leaving ample space for the assassin to join her. âYou vish to know from vhat, ja? Failure, I suppose... My mistakes. Grief. And zhe memories accompanying zhem.â Angelaâs look becomes distant and she takes a slow drag of her cigarette.Â
Part of her wants to say Having failed you, and having failed GĂ©rard, but sheâs not certain the other would have any sense of its gravity. And she wasnât certain she wanted to admit that vulnerability if it wasnât already known. The spider may have trapped her, but why offer up her throat?Â
She breaks her silence and continues, âI cannot help but question vhat my time vith Overvatch amounted to. I became a doctor to help zhose in need. Instead I served an organization vhich vas, I believe, rightfully disbanded.â She sighs and crosses one leg over the other, ashing her cigarette on the benchâs edge. âDespite zhat, I made many friends zhere. Even vith my best efforts--or vhat I hope vere my best efforts--I could do nothing to save Jack or Gabriel. I saved Genjiâs life, and in zhe process condemned him to life as a pariah.â
She looks at AmĂ©lie, and there is a bitter and wry smile on her face. âZhese names may mean nothing to you now, but zhe fall of Overvatch... It vas my Oppenheimer moment. I fear I have been on zhe wrong side of history.â She drops her cigarette on the pavement and stamps it out with one boot. âBut I suspect you are here for more zhan zhe story of vhat ghosts haunt a sad and lonely voman. Vhy did you follow me, AmĂ©lie?â

âFumer est mauvais pour la santĂ©, and your German accent does each of those words a terrible disservice,â she responds flatly, eyes glowing in the dark and being, for a long moment, the only part of her outside a silhouette thatâs wholly visible. When she steps forward enough for light to bathe enough of her body to expose who and what she is, the âgoodâ doctor would be treated to the view of a gaunt, ice-blue woman in a set of rose-tinted Aviators and a simple Parisian street dress, a royal purple that compliments her skin well. Sheâs clearly not dressed for combat.
âYou seem surprised, Angela.â The exchanged given name prompts her to do the same. Paris is not the sort of city thatâs ever devoid of foot traffic, but this time late at night an hour or two before the sanitation workers clear up an entire day of pet waste definitely ranks as its low point.Â
â⊠you know. It is four and a half hours from ZĂŒrich. And the only people who take the midnight trainââ which is slightly erroneous since the train departs at 11:30 PM (and gets in at 4:00 AM)â ââare criminals, alcoholics, and the desperately poor. Strange. Those are not normally the sorts of people who come looking for poor little me.â
A finger nudges at the top of her glasses to slide them down the bridge of her nose a bit, in a motion thatâs simultaneously practiced, elegant, and ladylike. Her free hand adjusts one of the spaghetti straps over her should to preemptively keep it from falling down as her eyes scan the doctor up and down, absorbing every single detailâ and she is very good at absorbing details. What she sees is not the Overwatch agent sheâd expected, but rather a woman who appears broken by time and experience, made rough around the edges and all around worse for the wear.
âI have to say,â as she holds up one finger, in that âplease donât speak until Iâm finishedâ sort of hold on gesture. âYou are not what I expected. What I remember of youâ of anything, reallyâ is not much, but. I am certain it was not this. Never this.â
She lowers her finger then, tacitly indicating the other woman can speak now if she so desires, though she makes that difficult by swiftly continuing on her own. âBut you are not actually looking for me, nâest-ce pas? Non, nonâ you were far too surprised for that. This must be a holiday for you. Am I correct?â
Angelaâs surprise quickly turns to anger and frustration. Their meeting is clearly not a coincidence, and her route had been random. She finds herself wondering how long the assassin had tailed her, how the other woman had even known she was in the city. The âalcoholicsâ strikes her like a slap in the face; it certainly isnât incorrect, but it feels far too pointed. Has Talon been keeping tabs on her? Or is AmĂ©lie operating on her own?
Angela is tired, upset, tipsy and her feet hurt like Hell. Being toyed with by a ghost from the past is hardly what sheâs in the mood for. Though the other is clearly not dressed for combat, Angela canât shake the feeling that this might be a trap. Her nostrils flare and she walks swiftly towards the other woman, reducing the distance between them to a couple meters.
AmĂ©lie is correct in her assumption, but they both already know that, so why answer? âMein Gott, and you are, you insect? Last time I saw you vere distinctly less blue. If my circulation vas so bad, smoking vould be ze last of my concerns,â she says as she flicks the remainder of her cigarette at the assassin. It bounces off the womanâs chest and sprinkles ash on her bust.Â
âDo you even feel, AmĂ©lie? Or is it Vidowmaker? If I vere to stub out a cigarette on your skin, vould you care?â she advances further as she speaks, approaching until sheâs in the other womanâs face. âI see Talon took your legs, and an arm. Your memories as vell, it seems, and your heart no doubt. Vhat are you but a veapon,â she hisses, her face inches from AmĂ©lieâs.Â
She turns and huffs. Her body quivers with barely contained anger. âIf you vish to kill me, nur zu!â she says without looking at her interlocutor. âIf youâre just here to taunt me, vell, Talonâs priorities have become petty, and regardless Iâd suggest you look in a mirror.â She scoffs and removes a fresh cigarette from her purse. âOthervise, leave me be.â She lights the cigarette up.
Her bile vented, Angela feels a pang of guilt. AmĂ©lie had been, perhaps, her closest friend, and it was her failure that lead to GĂ©rardâs murder and AmĂ©lieâs transformation. Looking at her, at Widowmaker, hurts. To see such a lovely woman reduced to a mere shade of her former self turns Angelaâs stomach; it is far too much like seeing her reflection. At least AmĂ©lie, as a victim, has an excuse.Â
âVhat do you vant?â she asks quietly, back still turned to the other woman. She canât bring herself to apologize, but at least she can hear an old friend out before storming off into the Parisian night.
