The "Lowest Degree" Before looking at the house, remember why a planet becomes the Darakaraka, it has the lowest degree in your chart. Because this planet has the least "longitude" (experience) in your current chart, your spouse often comes into your life with a "freshness" or innocence regarding that planet's traits. The spouse is often more flexible than you. You (represented by the Atmakaraka/highest degree) are set in your ways, the spouse (Darakaraka/lowest degree) is willing to learn, adapt, and mold themselves to fit your life.
