You're boring me

     “Hey! You!” Severa called out the stranger. “Your outfit is really cute. Where did you get it?”

     “Ugh! Gross! Don’t pick your nose in public! Didn’t anyone ever teach you manners?”

     “Sakura, right?” Selena asked after observing the familiar face. This was definitely one of the princesses from Hoshido. The poor girl looked scared and to some extent Selena felt bad. The princess never really did any harm to her and peace was surely established between both sides. It was better to leave that stuff in the past anyways. So in attempt to make the girl feel at ease Selena attempted conversation. “This is sort of sudden but I was on my way over to that bakery over there and maybe you wanted to come along? I don’t care if you say no or whatever.” Well...There was her attempt at being nice.

     “I’m getting by.” Selena said as she took a bite into the sweet. “I’ve been here for a while, nothing new I just haven’t been out much...” Flushed from admitting too much than she intented Selena quickly changed the subject.

     “Did you need something or are you trying to pick a fight?” Severa snapped after noticing the girl who was staring at her for a long time.

     “What are you looking at? Turn around and mind your own business!”

     “So do you always carry that stick around or are you purposely trying to look weird?” Like she could talk, Severa held onto her wooden sword for a week before she stored it away in her apartment for good.

     “Laurent! You’re here too?” Severa asked, relieved to see yet another person from home in the city but not as relieved for the fact that she needed help carrying all her shopping bags. “Help me out here! I need to get to my apartment but these bags are way too heavy for me to take another step!”

     A familiar small figure made their way about the streets. Green hair that shined in the sun even brighter in the sun and rather large ear poke out from the sides. There was no mistaking it. That was undoubtedly-

     “Nah!” Severa called out to the manakete while making her way over. “Gods, am I glad to see you! I thought I would be stuck here with only knowing Lucina. If you’re here that means there has to be more of the Shepherds somewhere here as well, right?”

     Strikingly similar red hair, a slim figure, and dashing red hues. That had to be one person. An odd feeling came to her. As if some anxieties had disappeared, but more came to replace the ones that had just went away. Severa would be lying if she said she wasn’t at least relieved to see her mother. But she was also a bit upset at the same time. She thought of the city as a place to maybe prove she could do things without being compared to her mother. But now that she was here it would be inevitable to escape it. 

     “I didn’t think I’d have to see you here.” Severa huffed under her breath. “So why are you here?” Her voice was now raised, she asked this question despite already knowing all the potential answers her mother could give her. Cordelia was in the same situation as her after all. Not even Severa truly understood why she was trapped here. This was just Severa trying to find an excuse to speak to her mother, really.

     “Don’t you know it’s bad luck to have an umbrella opened up inside?”
