The long awaited day was finally here. It was Friday. The day that Jungwon and you were going to have your tutoring session. You were nervous out of your MIND but with few encouraging words from Ni-ki (if you could even call it that) you were able to keep your composure (for the most part)
At school you only saw him once after leaving your chem class you hesitate contemplating on if you should wave at him or not but before you can make up your mind he sees you and straightens up. He waves and says “Hi y/n..! It’s Friday so I’ll see you later right?” You’re surprised that he even noticed you without you having said anything “Oh yeah for sure. I’ll see you later.” You reply trying so hard to hide your excitement. “Looking forward to it, see you y/n!” And with that he disappears into the crowd of students heading to their next class.
After school you’re buzzing. The thought of you and him being alone at HIS place is finally setting in. The more you think of it the more nervous it makes you. Before heading over to his place you place you decide to freshen up a bit. You retouch your makeup, adjust your hair, and douce yourself with your go-to perfume.
Once you arrive at his door you begin to rethink everything. What if he think you’re annoying? What if he thinks you’re stupid? What if this is the wrong address? All these thoughts rush through your head and just as you’re about to raise your fist to knock…
“Oh hey! I went out last minute before our session to get us some snacks. Hope you don’t mind…” Jungwon is standing right behind you carrying a few bags from what you can make out is some gummies, chips, and a few drinks. “Oh! Hi um do you need help carrying those in?” You ask startled a bit from his sudden presence but genuine. “No thanks it’s not heavy, I can carry them. Thank you though.”
You blush noticing how strong he actually is. He’s wearing a fitted black shirt which accentuates his build. Under all those hoodies he wears he has quite the physique. Nice arms, broad shoulders, everything a woman would dream for in a man. He moves the bags to one hand and uses his other to fish his keys out his pocket. Once he unlocks the door he allows you to go in first.
The first thing you notice is the strong aroma of linen or clean laundry. A little too clean smelling as if someone completely doused the place in air freshener before you got there. On the table was an empty takeout box, and a stack of what seems to be worksheets.
The place is fairly clean except a few pairs of shoes scattered around the place. “Sorry for the mess…” he says sheepishly setting the bags down, hurrying to throw the takeout box away and trying to push the shoes into a corner. “I tried my best to clean before you got here but I forgot a few spots.” You shrug “place seems pretty clean to me” you say stepping into the room a bit more. “Oh thank god. I didn’t want you thinking I was a slob. I clean regularly I promise..!” He says running a hand through his hair. “I believe you” you say chuckling. That sound for some reason suddenly causes him to perk up. “Hah…um well I set everything up in my room so…shall we?” He says gesturing towards the door at the and of the hallway. “Mhm” you nod nervously allowing him to lead the way.
He opens the door for you and you examine the room. It’s messily organized. A couple shirts, and hoodies here and there, a stack of books and papers on his desk, bed looking like it was made in a bit of a rush, and 2 empty cans of coffee sitting on his nightstand. Otherwise it’s quite clean.
He looks at you nervously as if waiting for you to call him messy or something but when you don’t say anything he takes it as a good sign.
“So…shall we?” He says gesturing towards the two chairs placed at his desk. You nod and sit on the chair to his right.
As the tutoring session progresses you get quite comfortable however you can’t help but blush at how close he is. He’s close enough you can smell his cologne and it’s driving you insane. The way he plays with his pen in his hands, the way he pushes his glasses up his nose when they fall down slightly, it’s all distracting you form the actual reason you went there. To learn. You catch yourself looking at him more than you should and try focusing on learning the material rather than learning every angle of his face.
Whenever you get something right he’s praising you, saying things like “good job” and “you’re doing great” for some reason it makes your heart beat faster than it should. Eventually you’re practicing a formula you can’t seem to remember and he asks you “Do you think you can recite it to me?” You hesitate before giving your answer but try your best to think hard. “That’s correct! Good girl.” He says to you after you surprisingly got it right. You suddenly tense up and blush furiously at his words “Good girl”? That affected you way more than anything he’s done yet.
He notices your flushed face and rigid posture. “How about a snack break?” He asks trying to ease the mood. “We’ve been at it for about half an hour already. I think it’s time for a reward.” You nod and get up to walk to the kitchen with him.
In the kitchen you’re chatting with him, awkwardly but talking. Just as it gets silent and you’re about to take a bite of a gummy bear you catch him staring at you. You pause. “Is everything okay…?” You ask feeling your face heat up again. “Hm? Oh yeah everything’s fine. Completely fine!” He says quickly as his posture stiffens and his cheeks start burning red. “Okay then…” You say skeptically. “It’s just…never mind.” He says letting out a sigh. “Wait no tell me.” You push, now curious of what he could possibly be holding back. “You’re…so pretty…” he starts “it’s hard to not be a nervous wreck around you. You’re so beautiful I can’t even speak properly to you…” he pauses deciding his next words carefully.
“I’d like to get to know you better y/n” You stay frozen. You try to speak but no words come out. Finally you manage to say “Yes please. Me too.” You say it with a bit too much force and finality as if you plan on sprinting away after your confession. He visibly relaxes and gives you a warm smile. “Really? That’s…wow yeah great. Thank you y/n” He looks so adorable right now and his smile makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. “Of course.”
You fall into a comfortable silence after that. Both smiling from ear to ear like idiots while munching on some snacks. Finally he breaks the silence “how about we get back to work now?” You nod remembering the reason why you’re here and head back to his room to finish your session.
25 minutes later your session with him comes to an end he’s walking you out. “Thank you for your help, Jungwon” you say as he opens the door for you “Of course. Anytime. Oh and y/n?” You perk up as he mentions your name “Yes?” You reply. He inhales then exhales “I’m serious about getting to know you better. Besides these sessions I want to see you more. To talk to you more. Let’s get coffee or something sometime okay?” He says looking at you with hopeful eyes, waiting for your response. You’re smiling so hard it hurts your cheeks. You force yourself to calm down, then you reply with a small, less creepy looking smile. “Of course, Jungwon. I’d love to.” He beams at you “Great. I’ll text you later. See you y/n!” He’s practically bouncing with excitement at the thought of seeing you more. You notice this and can’t help but think to yourself “gosh can this boy get any cuter?” Of course you’d never say this out loud. At least not yet, but for now you’ll keep those thoughts to yourself.
At home you’re in bed kicking your feet and smiling like you just won something. Well technically you did. You just won a “date” with Jungwon! That night you go to sleep with his image in your head and your heart full

Getting ready for the day for you, isn’t always this stressful however, today’s obviously different. You’re going to go up to Jungwon today. Jungwon, the new guy who already has you head over heels for him even though you’ve only seen him around a couple times, and never even uttered a word to him (unless online counts). You’re going to finally introduce yourself to him but not only that, you’re also going to get those tutoring arrangements going with him. First impressions always count so you carefully pick out what outfit to wear, how you should style your hair, and even what lipgloss shade goes best for today’s occasion.
At school you finally spot him after looking for him for about 15 minutes already. You smooth out your clothes and hair, and reapply your gloss one more time before finally gathering yourself to make the move. You walk up to him, head held high but your pink cheeks give your nervousness away. He doesn’t notice you approaching at first but his friend nudges him to look at you. “Umm…hi” you say with the smallest voice, almost inaudible and immediately regret your word choices. “Oh uh hi?” he says, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. “Do I know you..?” He asks. “Yeah wait-no I mean no- well not yet.” You manage. “I’m y/n…”. “y/n…? Oh yeah! You’re the girl who wanted me to tutor you, right?”. Your face washes with relief that he remembers, if he hadn’t it’d be quite the awkward conversation. “Yeah yeah that’s right!”. “Well it’s nice to nice to meet you y/n” He offers his hand for you to shake, in an awkward but friendly manner. You hesitate before finally shaking his hand. It’s warm, strong, and slightly shaky. “Nice to meet you too” you say trying your best to keep calm. “Math right? You needed help with math?” He asks. “Yeah haven’t been able to keep up lately…I’ve missed one too many lessons…”. “Ahh well that’s okay I’m happy to help”.
You melt at his words. He’s handsome, smart AND nice? “Thank you…and sorry for asking for help. Since you’re new it should be ME helping YOU. Not the other way around.”. “No no it’s totally fine I don’t need much help but I like helping others so please don’t apologize”. Your face is heating up the more you talk to him and your palms are starting to sweat. “You’re really nice…”. He tenses slightly at your words and his ears turn a light pink color before he responds. “Oh y-yeah? You think so? Thanks…I appreciate it.” “Mhm…” you nod.
“W-well um how about we do those tutoring sessions at my place, yeah? Totally fine if you’re not comfortable with that though! We can always go somewhere else.” You shake your head. “No it’s okay! Your place is fine” you say quickly, trying to ease his nerves. “It’s just I have all my materials there and I want to be able to help you comfortably.” “Yeah, no I’m fine with going to your place.” You reassure him. “Thanks for understanding.” He sighs. “What do you think about Friday’s? From five to around six maybe?”. “Perfect” you say. “Alright well it’s settled Friday’s, my place, five to six.” “Sounds good to me” you nod. “I’ll text you my address later alright?” He says over his shoulder as he begins to turn around “Alright! Thank you!” You say as you watch him turn around fully and walk away.
Throughout the rest of day you can’t help but replay the conversation with him in your head. His smile, his awkward laugh, his voice, it all makes your lips crack into a stupid grin just thinking about what’s to come Friday afternoon.
