Saturday morning.

I still keep the time I spent with my partner close to my heart.

We’re in the north and the south now, but with only a one-hour time difference, we can still look at the same moon🌖

Maybe that’s a small kind of happiness.

Tonight, I’ll work on my research proposal.

• Finished Once Upon a Broken Heart

I finally finished reading Once Upon a Broken Heart! It was so, so good. This review is still a bit rough, though, so I’d like to analyze it in a more constructive way.

First, Garber’s world-building is on another level. She created such a rich and magical world, describing the cities, castles, and clothing in vivid detail. Those descriptions completely drew me into the story and made me feel immersed in its world.

Second, she uses free indirect discourse so naturally that it allows readers to deeply understand Evangeline’s emotions. Although this technique lets Garber describe even the smallest moments in great detail, it never slows the story down. Instead, every scene remains emotionally engaging because everything is filtered through Evangeline’s perspective. I think this really demonstrates Garber’s remarkable writing technique.

Friendly reminder: We don’t need to give up on our ideal life.

I’ve been working on my next application, but step by step, I’m losing confidence. I may not meet the requirements, as my research experience might not be enough. And yet, I have two CiNii entries, one undergraduate thesis, and thousands of pieces of professional writing for web magazines. I hope my experience as a critic and writer will support my future.

• I read a few pages of a research paper

My crochet pouch is nearly finished! It looks a little simple right now, so I’m going to add some pink yarn to the top.

Recently, I’ve only been reading research papers, so tonight I’m going back to my favorite book, Once Upon a Broken Heart.

Actually, I’m not even sure if I really love it anymore, because I’ve finished almost six other books while still reading this one. That means I’ve been carrying it around for almost a year without finishing it, which is kind of hilarious.

Small steps are making me into a newer version of myself <3

My professor emailed me and told me that I should have confidence in myself, which absolutely gave me the encouragement I needed to take a step forward. To be honest, I’ve been burned out for the past couple of weeks. But so many people reached out to help and support me, and I was filled with enough love to stand up again.

Currently I started to use fyi apps which reminds me WHAT IS A INTERNET. I was unconsciously trapped in the algorithm and like & followers culture. But this app simply works with someone’s recommendations. I felt like I don’t need to think about what’s your branding strategy anymore.

Just being myself.
