With no exceptions. Exams and courses can be redone. Your life can not. Do not work yourself to breaking point but try to accept your limits. Be careful. And do not let ANYONE tell you your health isnât the number one priority.
Most exams really canât be redone. Some allow a drop grade but then youâre at a disadvantage compared to the rest of class. Also, 1,000+ wasted on a class isnât an option either. Sure they can be redone if you have the money, but most donât.
Your passed exams count for nothing if you are dead. Your health needs to always come first, no matter what. Maybe youâll lose money. Maybe youâll have to alter your plans for your future. But first you need to make sure you will have a future. Donât work yourself to literal death. Nothing is worth more than your life.
68 - Robin
Robin is a game demonstrating what itâs like living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Faced with a set of possible things to do over a three-day weekend, what you want to do is entirely up to you. But itâll be impossible to do everything that you need to do. Do you focus on the bare minimum, or try to make yourself feel a little better? And will any of it make you any less tired?
The important subject matter is presented with a gorgeous art style, and comments on the gameâs itch.io demonstrate the importance of creating games that seek to validate and inform.
Robin is available for free on Steam and has recently been greenlit for Steam release.
beautiful, very short and simple game comprised of making choices based off of spoon theory (cited info in the game)

I once said to my therapist after a particularly hard week, âI wish I could just fix all of my problems and move on to live a normal lifeâ And he looked at me and said, âThere is no finish lineâ.
Those words felt like a stab in my heart, but they were words that I desperately needed to hear. There is no finish line to my problems. Itâs not possible to get through a certain point in life and have my problems simply disappear. And itâs unhealthy to think that way. Up to that point in my life, thatâs what I though recovery was. I thought it was like working your way forward until it seems like your problems never existed in the first place.
The finish line does not exist. Instead, everyone has a capacity for recovery. You may never completely rid yourself of whatever causes you pain, but you will move miles from where you started. Donât set your expectations too high and create that theoretical finish line in your life, or you will only end up chasing it. Instead, focus on your own capacity for recovery, and be proud of yourself for every step you take.

Wanted to share this helpful tool with anyone who needs it. A lot of people have a hard time putting their feelings into words and identifying what emotions they are feeling. This is called a feeling wheel. It can help you get to the core emotion you are experiencing and help you name each feeling when youâre overwhelmed with many emotions

I found this on my Facebook feed near the end of 2015, but didnât read it until now because fuck it.Â
Itâs actually quite an amazing list and I recommend you read it if you need any help managing stress or just being good to yourself.

Strength Building Self-StatementsÂ
1. Whatâs the worst that can happen? And based on my experience, and NOT on my emotions, how likely is that to happen?Â
2. Feelings are sometimes painful, but are time-limited.Â
3. It will get easier each time I practice.Â
4. My success is measured by taking skillful action, not by whether I was anxious when I did it.Â
5. Iâm not going to let a lapse get in my way. Iâm going to continue making progress towards my goal.Â
6. Feeling I canât do it is NOT the same as not being able to do it. Stick to the plan.Â
7. Good jobâIâm staying in the situation, even though itâs hard.Â
8. Iâm going to make it.Â
9. Itâs a sign of strength to ask for help in an effective way.Â
10. Knowing when to ask for coaching is a skill in itself.Â
11. I am a unique person, and I have unique reactions. Only I can determine how I SHOULD feel in any given situation.Â
12. My feelings are not right or wrong, they just simply ARE.Â
13. A feeling of certainty is not the same as the truth.Â
14. My painful emotions happen for a reason and are an important source of information and direction for me.Â
15. Urges are a natural part of emotions and of being human. Having an urge (even a strong urge) does not mean that I have to DO anything at all.
