There's a a lot of variety of options and if you don't see something you would like to see, feel free to submit your own! You have until 31 July and then prompts will close and we will be in the creation period!

(New rule, because I don't want anyone to feel pressured or rushed, this is casual event!)

Rest Cycles for All by Gasmeros

Would love to see a fic where Mensah is the one telling Murderbot it needs a rest period instead of the other way around! Murderbot can tell when Mensah is tired and needs to sleep, and it very often reminds her to rest. Surprise surprise, Mensah is also observant and can tell when Murderbot is overdue for a recharge. What tips her off? It this a common problem? What does she have to do to get it to actually rest?

Forced to tell the truth by anonymous

Either Mensah is infected by alien remnants that force her to tell the truth, or Murderbot is infected with malware/programming that forces it to tell the truth.

Language Barriers by Gasmeros

Alternate first meeting AU but with language barriers! Mensah and Murderbot meet and become friends, but there's a persistent difficulty of communication by way of not speaking the same language.

Queer platonic or romantic SFW or NSFW Why and how? A sensual evening with surprising consequences? Or maybe Mensah can't conceive after multiple tries and was sad about it? Or maybe MB wanted to be third mom in a different way? Maybe constructs could be used as a noncon surrogate and MB was forced to install this function? Or maybe it's some kind of alien remnant mishap? Or somehow it happened don't worry about it. Put a baby in that bot!

Trauma Bonded Pair by TheSpaceAce

After Murderbot saved Mensah from Greycris, Mensah acknowledged that it would be easy for them to slip into unhealthy codependency. In an AU where she's too rattled to make that decision, her and MB end up so emotionally entwined that they can't go anywhere without the other. MB Constantly checks its drones where Mensah is, Mensah panics if she hasn't heard from it for more than a few minutes, it has to stand between her and any "threat", etc. There could also be some possessiveness on either of their parts which further alienates them from their loved ones. How does Mensah's family cope? What does Perihelion think? Do PresAux understand a little bit where this is coming from? If Mensah develops a touch-aversion, how does Murderbot handle being her one exception? How do they balance her need for touch with MB's discomfort with anything more than holding hands or a quick hug? (I mean cuddles, basically) I'd prefer platonic or qpr, but it's really up to the writer. Feel free to take the opportunity to insert Mensah into the books where she wasn't originally.

MB and Mensah deals with public relations by Poots

(Any rating; romantic or platonic) You know how in Home, Mensah was startled by a journalist and MB scared him away? And in All Systems Red, MB shouldered a reporter off Pin-Lee (which probably doesn’t look great)? How is MB dealing with the public-facing nature of Mensah’s job? What if they’re swarmed by reporters? Maybe having a whole crowd descend on Mensah freaked MB out a little, even if Mensah warned it beforehand. What if Mensah gives Murderbot some media training post-Exit Strategy? MB was very intimidating to the journalist in Home. What if that led to ‘Mensah x Secunit question mark? 🤨’ or ‘All about Planetary Admin Mensah's hot new security’?

Alternate Exit Strategy by Anonymous

PresAux were unable to buy Murderbot and it has no idea they tried. A few months later, on a new assignment, it hears news that Preservation Aux's planet admin had been kidnapped! That's its favorite human! Murderbot escapes and travels to save her. (Maybe on the way it meets a self-piloting transport bot named Perihelion who agrees to help it?) How does it, or they, save her? (Any rating and any relationship between Mensah and Murderbot, with optional ART)

Murderbot canonically pays close attention to Mensah's physical appearance. But as they become more comfortable around each other, Murderbot starts to reflexively unfold its energy weapon in reaction to seeing pleasing aspects of Mensah, a behavior that looks quite threatening to Preservation residents. To train Murderbot out of this new quirk, Mensah ties something delicate and personal around Murderbot and challenges it to keep it intact while it goes to work with her.

Mensah, tano and farai are all conveniently too busy to pickup one of their kids from school, so its upto mb to pick up the little one in their stead. Has mensah listed mb on school forms as an emergency contact? How awkward is the hand-off when the mini-mensah's teachers realise that a rogue secunit has come to pick them up? Bonus: How have the events of PD affected the kid? Just a cute and utterly mundane way mb offers itself as a reliable and supportive (if awkward) presence to mensah when she's overwhelmed with too many plates to juggle, that isnt a life-or-death situation. A look into how mb has become a part of the mensah family. Any interpretation of their relationship welcome <3

Wells has said that if SecUnit had stayed and gone to Preservation after ASR, it and Mensah wouldve had something much more toxic. i dont care if its SFW, NSFW, whatever type of relationship you want to give them. i just want them even more toxic and co-dependant. maybe something with it preventing GrayCris from kidnapping Mensah and / or the fallout of it being over protective. her accidentally pressuring it into choices.

The event allows for any type of mensahbot - platonic, queerplatonic, romantic, aromantic, kinky, fluffy, sexy, innocent, funny, serious, asexual, friends with benefits, unlabelled third thing, enemies, a mystery, anything and everything from your heart!

It also allows for polycule versions of Mensahbot (because they live in a world where poly relationships are normalised (e.g. Mensah/Murderbot/Farai/Tano, Mensah/Murderbot/ART, Mensah/Murderbot/Gurathin etc)

Baseline: A low key casual event focussed on having fun making creations for each other. Part 1: Anyone and everyone can submit anonymous prompts to the AO3 collection. You do not have to fill a prompt later to take part in this stage, have fun! Part 2: Claim and fill prompts that appeal to you! You don't have to submit prompts to fill prompts.
