Menchikun Draws Things Sometimes

Decided to try sketching a character with a more bara kind of style. I'm not really great with musculature yet, so it was an adventure. And no, I have no idea what he's wearing. 2 am is a very sleepy time, and Trevel has questionable very taste. 

Meet Frejya Hyakinthos, Warlock of Apollo, and all...10(?) of his abs. I wanted to try a ridiculous fantasy outfit, the kind you see on "sexy" female characters in RPGs sometimes, but a dude. I think I succeeded.

Been sick a lot lately, so commissions are open again! For now I'm taking 3 slots, but I may keep a waitlist if enough people are interested! Prices range from sketch headshots at $15 to fully illustrated full body designs at $65, more details on my order form and FAQ page if you're interested, :)

My commissions are typically set into 3 categories: Lineart only, Lineart + Flat Coloring, and Lineart + Full Shading. Two tone color-only backgrounds are free, while Illustrated backgrounds start at $25 and go from there. Prices are as follows:

Once your contract has been signed and your deposit received I will begin work on the piece. All commissions require a %50 deposit to begin, and your piece will be sent to you once the remainder of your order dues have been paid.

Old art redraw complete! Krylien, my dear sweet gay demon baby, was originally sketched out in 2014 and now he’s been brought back to life four years later as Char in 2018. I had a lot of fun playing with some new ideas for coloring and shading (anything’s “new” if you make it up every time). Certainly feels more dynamic, and I think quite a bit sexier ;)

Done in Corel Painter 12 with a monoprice tablet.

Redraw old pictures time! Nothing better to revive the dead than redoing old characters who never saw the light of day for new campaigns, and with them new headshots :) 

Formerly the half elf slave Kyrlien (5e Bard I think?), now the Tiefling slave Char (Sorlock). Looking forward to finishing the entire redesign between life and work and such. 

IT’S FINALLY DONE. I’ve been working on this poster for a very good friend of mine, @jidt, for...an embarrassingly long time now. Between health SNAFUs, a failing hard drive, and then the horror of watching the file trying to fold in on itself right before my eyes (missingno. much?) it’s been an adventure from start to finish. BUT IT’S DONE, HALLE-FRICKEN-LUJAH.

This piece is for the Pokemon themed RP my friend runs, and she wanted a poster to celebrate how awful it’s gotten. Featured are three of the main protags, Kyle, El, and Hana, as well as their main friends/allies in the R behind them (Mai x Dio on the left, Tim up top, Mimiru on the right, and Elia down bottom) and a few antagonists (M2, Marshadow, and a poke-fusion abomination I lovingly dubbed Charlie). Jirachi played a brief but very important role in the campaign, so he’s there too <3 

This was a lot of fun to conceive, and it’s gone through a lot to get to where it is, so I’m super thrilled with it. Since the campaign is ongoing maybe we’ll see more work with the main characters? If nothing else poor Dio hasn’t seen the light of day in so long; I miss playing his sassy butt :) As always, done in Corel Painter 12 on my Monoprice tablet from the stone age. 

Sorry I’ve been gone for so long without ANY updates! I got really sick, and then that got EXCITING. I’m starting to get better now, so here is a character I’ve been working on to help me get back into the swing of things. Please welcome The Dragon’s Inquisitor, Riede of the High Holy Church of Ariandas. 

The Dragon’s Inquisitors are viewed as Ariandas’ greatest teachers and protectors, and as such Riede’s job is to help maintain the doctrinal purity of the High Holy Church throughout Ariandas through ensuring the proper maintenance and teaching of historical and sacred records as well as through service to the people wherever she may be assigned. Most recently Inquisitor Riede has been called by the royal family of Ariandas themselves to be their representative in the World Council of Geoden, a gathering of heroes and leaders from every great nation meant to deal with a growing threat to the very world itself.

So, a friend of mine is getting ready to run a campaign, and as part of that she asked each of her players to create a nation with a history and then send a representative of that nation as our player character. I may have gone a tad overboard, but without even playing her Riede has become one of my favorite characters I’ve created so far. I’ve really gotten into her nation’s history, mythology, religion, and even their musical traditions to a point. It’s been especially fun to look at her design and think, “Why yes, I HAVE played X a lot recently, haven’t I!” See if you can guess what game that is based on her armor and dagger; I don’t think I was very subtle, but maybe it’s inadvertently close to something other than what I intended, hahaha. I’ve wanted to do a multi-stage design image for a long time, and this seemed like the perfect time for that exercise. I hope you guys enjoy, as always please reblog, don’t repost, and keep on keepin’ on! I hope to keep up the energy enough to post more works soon, including another Pokemon poster, some new character designs, and maybe something for Journey. We shall see.

My first big commission in a very long time is a good friend of mine, Jidt’s, Aura User, El, and her Pokemon Team :) She’s got Arcanine*, Ninetails*, Lucario, Absol, Dewgong, and a Talonflame (not to forget her pet Joltik). It was super fun to work on something so different from what I normally do; ie not just drawing pretty people all the time :)
