Apostles of the Apocalypse: Judas (Part One)
Warnings: Smut, Angst, Cursing, Canon-divergence
Notes: So I was wondering earlier about what would happen if Daryl hadn’t said no to Negan… A little bit of this is word-for-word script from the show; I do not own any of it. I hope you all like it! xox
Part One of the Apostles of the Apocalypse Series
The sound of gravel crunching under wheels made you look up from the book your were reading, glancing over at Eugene as the car approached.
“Can you open the gate?” Rosita asked him, lifting a brow when he ignored her request. “Eugene.”
“Yeah?” He lifted his head enough to throw her an exasperated look.
She shook her head, her eyes widening. “Open the gate.”
Eugene stood reluctantly and moved around his makeshift desk when Spencer leaned over.
“Goin’ out to see if we can find anything for when they come.” The man informed the two of you, not that either of you cared too much. “Wanna help?”
You snorted a laugh, Rosita throwing a glare at you. The last thing you wanted to do was help Negan and his band of assholes, especially after they’d kidnapped Daryl. Rick had refused to let you go after your boyfriend, claiming it was too dangerous to do so and you’d called him a coward. You’d sided quickly with Maggie, knowing that, in the end, the only way this was going to be resolved was through war. Rick had disagreed and you were livid, finding it unbelievable that he was so willing to bend over and take it from the murderous scumbag, willing to put the entire community in danger because he didn’t have the balls to fight.
You’d returned to Alexandria reluctantly, only staying for Carl and Michonne. It gave you plenty of time to plan and gather the supplies you needed to break in to Negan’s base and rescue Daryl, providing he was still there to be rescued…
“I don’t believe I’d be up to that,” Eugene replied uncertainly.
“Yep, that sounds about right,” Rosita sighed, both of you rolling your eyes at the man’s obvious cowardice.
Eugene’s brow furrowed and he paused, gesturing toward what he’d been working on.
“I’ve been repairin’ this portable audio system for them,” he informed you all. “We’ll have a perfectly respectable music player when they arrive. I’m dealin’ in certainties and I’m doin’ my part to give them what they want.”
“And they want a stereo?” You asked, sarcasm dripping off of your every word.
The sound of motorcycles immediately silenced all of you and you pulled your gun from its holster. Cheerful whistling echoed as Rosita and Spencer exited the car, your blood running cold.
“Oh shit…” you whispered.
“Little pig, little pig, let me in!”
