With a smile that was lopsided and bright Eas laughed breathlessly still so taken with the realization that she was there. Physically and actually there. “Not as much as you, no. But, I try.” He sits up slowly as if he could startle her away somehow, still drinking in the sight of her. All of a sudden he realized he might look a bit silly covered in dust and leaves with flowers strewn in his tangled mop of hair, a hand flashed up and plucked one. White and petite in his large hands as he held it to Victoria. “A welcome gift?”
Oh, how she had missed this.
The fearling fairy raised a hand, running it through his tousled hair as she used to in the old days. Back when they would sit in the sun with hardly a care, Eas strumming on his guitar and she humming a song with a smile.
Victoria gently took the proffered flower and tucked it into her hair by her temple. “I’ve missed you…more than you know. ” she murmured softly. “ I’m so sorry for leaving. For disappearing for so long. Can you forgive me?”
He couldn’t help the soft hum the moment he felt her fingers carding through his hair, his entire frame going lax beneath her touch. If Victoria had not plucked the flower from his hands it surely would have fallen to the Warren floor beneath them. “I can… “ he stumbled on his words, licking his lips nervously. “I can. if you promise not to disappear again. Stay?”
"Always. " she exhaled in relief, throwing her arms around Eas and resting her head on his shoulder. "I promise. I'll never disappear again. " she swore.
Pulling away, she brushed her fingers across his cheek. "What have i missed since I was gone? Anything major happen?"
