This quiet parlor is located at Macy's 34th Street location. I chose the tweezing package. The process takes about 15 minutes on two brows. The price is around $23 without tip.

There isn't much different. My brows got a less bushy. The lady told me to grow a little more hair on my left brow.

The Myth (one of many)

In ancient China, there wasn't just one sun in the sky. There were ten. The ten suns burned so bright that no crops would grow and the people began to starve. In this time of crisis one man, rose to the challenge. The archer Hou Yi was well known for his skill with a bow and arrow. With support from his wife Chang'e, he shot down the suns, one by one. Just as he was about to shoot down the last one, his wife stopped him. The people and plants still need light to prosper, she said.

People across the land were so happy that their suffering had ended and they crowned Ho Yi their king. At first, Ho Yi was a very good king, ruling fairly and with heart. But he soon became despotic, killing without cause and ruling tyrannically, to the dismay of Chang'e.

Hou Yi's ultimate fear was death and he became obsessed with immortality. So he sought out a witch doctor, who provided him with a pill that would allow him to live forever. When Hou Yi's wife, Chang'e found out about his plan, she knew she had to stop him.

At night, as Hou Yi slept, she crept to the place where the king had hidden the pill. Just then, her husband awoke and demanded to know what she was doing. Without a thought, Chang'e swallowed the pill and suddenly began to fly up into the twilight, until she reached the full moon. And that is where she remains today.

For me, walking means getting from point A to point B, but walking has changed.

Walking for fitness

Besides running with aches and pains, you can walk endless without being atrocious.  Just like running, you angle your arms at 90-degree. To boost fitness in walking, wear a book bag (with light weighted items that it doesn't strain your back). Also go for uphills to work those muscles.

Walking for therapy

Walk with a friend, but always remember to listen. Let your friend speak, it's not just you. It's fine to have silence. Walking with a friend is to enjoy his/her company. Try to avoid using "why" questions and "you should have" statements because you're not there to be judgmental.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall. The weather is perfect for running, hiking and hot yoga! Recently, I canceled my Bally's Total Fitness membership, so I can save for hot yoga with Erin. First day of heated yoga is on the September 1st.

Running in Paradise Island's waters is so difficult. I don't even know if I am running fast or slow. While getting off the beach, you can feel the water pressure and you're struggling to get out.

Did you ever get any swelling in your hands? Well, I do on a hot summer day. It is quite normal if you're a long distance runner.
