Which was needed because of being drained, anxious and depressed before the festival. So many beautiful people, art and conversations healed my heart. This elder really hit home.. telling stories of local Washington natives. We are the water people. Tribes around the state and Canada come together to participate in canoe journey each summer. The celebration of unity amongst the pnw. He talked about the life of the water people: clam digs, the first salmon ceremony (the story of the salmon lady), and easy access to fresh seafood.
