EPISODE ONE.

me ? wha- I didn't do this.

I do not kill people. that is my least favorite thing to do.

well, this guy walked in. so I went up to him and I... stabbed him 37 times in the chest.

[ name ] ! that kills people !

I was hungry for hands, give me a break.

my stomach was making the rumblies that only hands can satisfy.

EPISODE TWO.

what on earth was all that ?

you sunk an entire cruise ship, [ name ] !

are you sure that was me ? I think I would remember something like that.

thank god the children weren't around to see it.

I don't know about you, but I'm having a wonderful time here.

EPISODE FOUR.

clue number one, the imposter is a phantom.

you're right, it's not nearly as tasteful as I pictured in my head.

...probably because I'm a dangerous sociopath with a long history of violence. I don't understand how you keep forgetting that.

EPISODE FIVE.

I may have forgotten to mention one of my activities. I apologize, that was wrong.

I think it's just a lens flare and some dust.

୧ ‧₊˚ 🔪💋 ⋅  ──── Nose twitches in a slight snare, head dipped as Roman watches Melon make himself comfortable. Eyes are quick to catch weapons at reach, their own sits at their own hip and paw's rested on their hips so they have quick access to it if need be.

It's not like Roman knew what the Shishigumi leader was doing here.

"Looks like we're in a similar position." Though Roman would like to argue they were doing this longer than Melon seemed to be. It wasn't too long ago that the Shishigumi had a dear leading them after all.

But they'll just listen for now.

"Roman, Black Mask works too." Casually corrected but in a pointed tone to assert they demanded that respect. And head tilts when Melon begins preposition. Brow raised slightly in intrigue. There's doubt of course that any of this was sincere, but if this was real it worked in both their benefit.

"Black Mask-- is that cause, uh?"

He gestured vaguely to the inkblot shape that spanned the front of the cat's head.

It would be a lot harder for Melon to work his way up the food chain on his own this time. His public freak-out over Black Market ownership had most likely got him blacklisted among a lot of them-- ironic as it sounded. Even finding normal jobs, like his teaching position, was going to prove to be a lot harder now. Especially because he did not want to get caught.

He'd heard that employers had begun to demand to see everyone's faces.

"Ouch, you wound me!" Melon teased them, and sat up, legs criss-crossed. Wonderful; his shoes were on the desk. He stuck his neck out. "Oh, don't worry. I wouldn't dare to try to bite off more than I deserve."

As if to confirm this, he pressed two of his claws together and signed across his heart.

"Equal is fine by me," the hybrid purred. "What say you? This could be the beginning of a glorious partnership!"

The murderer stuck his hand out, and managed his most pleasant smile, but deep inside his head, Melon was wondering why Roman was entertaining this. Were they struggling to lead? Or did they just want the publicity?

Perhaps they were planning to double-cross him?

It wouldn't happen. Not if he got the drop on them first.

Sam gave Melon a strange look— tilting his head to the side, studying him with those uncanny eyes of his — a Ram’s face — a serpent’s eyes .

A snakelike grin spread across Melon's face.

"From me?" he feigned, batting his eyes. He had the long eyelashes typical of a gazelle, but leopard's eyes. This dichotomy (along with the rest of his body) had lead him, for his entire life, to believe he was a freak-- some kind of abhorrent abomination-- but it was difficult to feel that way when staring down the nose at someone who was much more of a freak than he could ever wish to be.

Melon's tail swished.

He shut his eyes.

"Well, all right," he huffed, arms crossed. "It's true! Everything they're saying about me is true. I did it all, I did it all and more, and I'd do it all again!"

Was it gloating, or an admission? Stooping theatrically to the other's height, he popped an eye open.

His grin widened. It revealed his teeth. Sharp-- a murderer's teeth.
