I'm not sure if it was the author's intention when she chose Tamsy's colors, but it just struck me after the first chapter's 161 panels.
Everyone thinks that red and gold are the colors of the monarchy. It's true for England, but for France, the Monarchy's colors are blue (King's blue) and white (in the French flag, the white symbolizes the monarchy) , as you can see in the Royal emblem (note thé blond Angels too) and some kings painting like here Louis XIV.
The fact that Tamsy always wears a social mask is something that we learn very young as kids in the High classes and nobility (yes, I do have Spanish noble ancestors, and my father was a diplomat, so I was raised in High society) . Smiling without smiling is something very usual, giving other persons the illusion of concern too; it's a way to survive in that sphere, to make contacts for future use. It's like a game, to resume. So, his personality isn't something very exceptional.
Another thing, and this is for the people imagining him as a good father, I really don't think he'll be like that. Well, in France, nobility is quite poor so, so they raise their children like everyone nowadays. But in the past, and in the rich classes, children were (and are) raised by nannies. We don't have a strong parent mind for the majority, and having a kid is just question of lineage. I was raised by Nannies, it's quite normal.
