Alexander (Occtis Tachonis)

I mean. This almost has to be artificer. Unearthed Arcana released a Reanimator subclass and it kind of fits the bill perfectly. Them foxes with button eyes are probs ‘Reanimated Companions.’ This one feels cut and dry. i’m not gonna bend over backwards to find another option. Unless there some serious homebrewery going on and Occtis is just a Necromany Wizard or other Artificer Subclass like Alchemist, my Final Answer is Reanimator Artificer. Putting this character on Team Schemers because they might be in hot water for playing with dark Frankenstein magic and fit in with a gang of criminals.

Ashley (Vaelus)

First instinct, of course, is cleric because of the censer. Definitely religious. I believe she is dressed in leathers/medium armor so I won’t go paladin. I hope that censer is a homebrew chain weapon of some kind. I’m tempted to say warlock again because Ashley has played a cleric already. I want to go on the assumption that no one is picking classes they’ve already done but that could bite me in the ass. The wild looking magic bits on her hand and face have really thrown me. If she was going cleric again, I would guess Order based on vibes, but because of the Urn emoji, Death or Grave is more likely. She could very well be a Warlock or Sorcerer but with the Acolyte Background too. Hard to tell if that’s actually leather she’s wearing, but I think so. if it is, she can’t be a Sorc. Final answer: Death Cleric because it gives access to martial weapons, and if that’s a chain weapon, it’s not ‘simple’. I’m going to put her on Team Soldiers.

Also, just pointing this out. This is our only elf character and it’s a drow? Did all the elves die off except those who went underground? Also why no halflings or gnomes? Dragonborn? Brennan what IS this setting? Humans Vs Orcs? Or did everyone just want to be ‘different’ so they went with vanilla humans lol.

Laura (Thimble)

Final Answer Rogue lol. The subclass is where it gets tricky though. Listen, okay she COULD be a dex fighter. But this is Laura Bailey. I know she wants to play a rogue. Thief makes a lot of sense to me, even though that subclass has a bad rap. Could be arcane trickster because, you know, fairies. I could also see Scout. The wilted flower emoji is curious. Idk though, for some reason a regular old Thief Rogue is calling to me. Final Answer, Thief Rogue on Team Schemers.

Yeah Confirmed Rogue. She did call her a stone-cold killer though, so maybe actually an assassin rogue?

Liam (Halandil Fang)

Ok, this character has plot points built in based on name alone. Clearly, he’s a musician. Wasn’t it a violin emoji? Almost guarenteed to be a bard. The subclass is where it gets nebulous because the dude looks so freaking Normal. What college are you??? I think, considering the story will begin with one of his relatives getting executed, College of Spirits could be interesting. I also like the idea that he looks so normal and nice but he’s College of Whispers. However, after much thought, I’m going with College of Tragedy. Not only because its one of Matt’s subclasses, but because it seems like it was MADE for Liam. C’mon. College of Tragedy??? Mr. Shakespeare actor over here? Also the emoji of the little greek house and the Urn. Greek Tragedy. You get it? You get it. Final Answer College of Tragedy Bard, Team Seekers.

Luis (Azune Nayar)

Warhammer + Plate + Electricity is SCREAMING Tempest Cleric to me. Also really giving off scottish vibes?? Like that isn’t a plaid kilt but its sure has the look. I’ve actually been a little on the fence about which emojis belong to this dude. Is it Comet/ Crossed Swords / Compass? Hard to say without knowing the background. Maybe he was hit in the face with a firebolt haha. I wanna guess the crossed swords just means Team Soldier. The compass… maybe a traveling mercenary? Fuck it could also mean Team Seekers. Other option is Dagger/Diamond/Fire which does work in some respects (might be burn scars on his face, also he is dressed in a lot of red). Idk about the dagger (sword?) or diamond tho. This is a hard one. Only other option is Paladin because of that plate but the clothing is giving me zero clues as to which subclass. I do think I am still going cleric. Ashley (Death Cleric) also had weird magic shit goin on, and maybe its a side effect of being a cleric after the gods have been killed. Because of the electricity and the heavy armor and warhammer, I will still go Storm Cleric. Team Soldiers or Seekers its Real Hard to pick between them. Gonna go with Soldiers tho bc otherwise there’s only three lol.

Marisha (Murray Mag’nesson)

(So pleased we still have dwarves) Okay another really tricky one here. The outfit screams Bard, but that could also just be the Charlatan or Entertainer Background talking. Technically her corset is leather, but she could be stabbed in the heart/lungs soooo easily lmao. The Emojis give us more to work with. The crystal ball and Joker card. Crystal Ball could mean Divination Magic (wizard) and Joker Card could be a stand in for tarot or imply she is a Jester in the traditional sense (entertainer). I think the pendant hanging from her hat is her spell focus so she absolutely has to be a caster. I don’t think she’s a bard tho. I really am kind of leaning towards Divination Wizard, using that knowledge to have an edge in her ‘psychic’ readings as a charlatan or entertainer. I don’t love the idea of the bearded lady at the carnival, but thats almost the picture Marisha has painted between the character design and emojis. Either way, I think I’ll have to go with Divination Wizard. I would love to see Marisha play a wizard tbh. The other thing on the hat is yelling arcane doodad. Also, obviously Team Schemers bc just look at her. If she’s just a bard I swear to GOD.

Matthew (Sir Julien Davinos)

Ohhh Matthew. You made a Human Fighter didn’t you? He (they??) could still be a rogue (swashbuckler could be fun), but that pauldron and gauntlet say Nah. No, no, trying too hard. I think he did just straight up go with Human Fighter. Sir Julien Normalman. The emojis are (I think) sword/ diamond/ fire. Diamond I think means wealthy (he has been knighted also) but the fire is a fucking mystery. Either way, Battle Master, Team Soldiers Final Answer (love that option with a rapier tho! Duelist Battle Master?). I just know Matt has cool shit hidden up his sleeve. Gonna be multiclass Barbarian Rogue or some shit. Rage filled sneak attacks with a rapier. (I made a character like that once lmao)

Robbie (Kattigan Vale)

Another one that feels pretty cut and dry. I don’t see a bow on him but maybe he’s playing a non-archer Ranger. Inchresting. Tanking for the seekers? There was the bow and arrow emoji but maybe that just meant the Ranger Class in general. His little club looks neat tho. I do wonder who gave his puppy a magic prosthetic. I won’t try to say he’s a druid or a barbarian, though I did consider them. No, I don’t think Robbie’s trying to be sneaky here. I think yes Ranger. Beast Master feels like a given. The pet might be a total homebrew thing, but if that’s the case god knows what subclass. The matching eye scars are interesting and do raise a lot of questions. (It looks green on the dude. Tattooed to match?). I’m not going to fight the obvious answer. Beast Master Ranger Final Answer and also Team Seekers.

Sam (Wicander Halovar)

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Sam isn’t going right back to cleric or paladin. I know its clear this dude is hardcore religious based on the outfit (or maybe pretending to be), but Sam JUST did that with both his last characters and also he is not armored. I kind of want to go with Divine Soul Sorcerer here? Like maybe that’s how he got his blue hair? He could also just be an aasimar. I’m not ruling out Celestial Warlock either, but a warlock would generally wear leathers. I think Sam is in cloth here. There is, of course, the possibility that he’s just a religious person who happens to be a wizard. Sam would love to be sneaky that way. The (spell) book emoji is a huge red flag tbh. Pact of the tome warlock also, but a book isn’t visible. Whoever he is, he worships the same deity as Tyranny (Whitney’s character). I haven’t labeled anyone a Sorcerer yet, so i think I am going to go with that instead of Wizard (though god it’s probably that lmao. Only other guess is it just a Priest Holy Book type thing). Fuck it. Divine Soul Sorcerer, Team Seekers, Final Answer. He does have weird magic shit going on so I’m inclined to call him a true believer and not a charlatan or something.

Taliesin (Bolaire Lathalia)

NGL my very first thought was Mastermind Rogue. He looks like he would lead Team Schemers. Fucking Jigsaw over here. The eyes are fucked up man what ancestry did he pick?? One he intends to hide but that is one sallow looking neck. Is he a Reborn or Dhampir? Whatever. Given the nature of his rapier though that screams soulknife. Unless its just glass? Tal would love to play with psychic damage tho (he’s already causing it with the character design). I think I am definitely going with Rogue here. The creep factor does tempt one towards pact of the blade warlock but idk. Back to rogues, we also have the Phantom Rogue. I think Tal would love to play with those mechanics too. The character just doesn’t scream ghost shenanigans to me though idk. He clearly aims to intimidate and hide his identity. I do like soulknife too, but I’m gonna go with my first instinct on this one. It’s considered kind of a shit subclass by mechanics alone, but the vibes feel spot on to me. Travis (Teor Pridesire)

Hmmmmmmm. Hmm. Hm. I wanna go with Paladin so bad but travis kinda did that with Fjord in second half C2. Would he go Paladin again?? That thing in his hand could be a holy symbol. He could be cleric too. No weapon, just a shield. Like what the fuck. The heavy armor says Fighter Cleric or Paladin. But with just his claws?? Mainly spellcasting maybe?? Travis what in the fresh hell is your furry ass up to now? Is this a weird multiclass? I think I will go Paladin because I think his oath isn’t to a god, but maybe to his family/pride. The symbol is a lion too, so I feel like family crest. Could be Oath of Devotion or it could be Oath of the Crown if it’s a royal family of lions. Sun emoji tho I wonder what that’s about. Those metal disks. Does feel vaguely religious. This is all over the place. If I know Travis tho I know he’s going Team Soldiers. Going with Paladin, Oath of Fuck if I know. Literally how can I know. I don’t know this man lion. Going with Crown since lions have often been associated with royalty and so has the sun. Gonna find out immediately its actually oath of vengeance lmao. Or better yet, dude is just a Fighter Champion or smthin.

He’s a confirmed paladin! Keeping my oath of the crown guess. It would be funny if, actually, there are no monarchies in this setting lol.

Whitney (Tyranny)

Sooo much going on here oh my lord. Love the goat aesthetic for one. Clearly dressed as a nun, but given her name, definitely more to it than that. Getting clear Team Schemers Vibes. All cloth outfit and no weapons means Spellcaster or Monk (or lmao barbarian). Now her emoji includes wine. This would make the funniest fucking Drunken Master Monk. Oh my god. And dressed as a nun? Chef’s kiss. Idk if she’s truly devout or making fun of them but man. Yeah I don’t know where else to go here. Most overtly religious characters are armored. Monks can still be religious too. I think I’m actually going to go with Drunken Master Monk, Team Schemers. I think she got kicked out of the nunnery for all the damn drinking lmao. They probably made wine at her monastery.

According to this, my final super unbalanced and incorrect teams are:

Soldiers: Ashley (Cleric-death), Matt (dex-Fighter), Travis (Paladin), Luis (Cleric-storm).

Seekers: Aabria (Warlock), Liam (Bard), Robbie (Ranger), Sam (Sorcerer) (oh they squishy lol, they’ve never heard of armor)

Schemers: Alexander (Artificer), Laura (Rogue-thief), Marisha (Wizard), Taliesin (Rogue-mastermind), Whitney (Monk)

TBF Alexander would also fit well with Seekers I think. Honestly these are all probably completely wrong, team wise. You dont throw all the beef in one party and all the casters in another lmao. But without knowing their backstories, like, what can I do.

Well, hopefully when it comes to their classes I didn’t second guess myself too much here. I can’t wait to find out how wrong or right this is. I want to get a good grade in Class Guessing, which is a normal thing to want. I was trying not to look in the tag at all the chatter (and I’m actually out of state right now and had to write this shit on my ancient ipad) so I went in as blind as I could, but now I’m excited to get home and go read ALL the theories and see how much obvious shit I missed. Been awhile since i was a ‘fandom participant’.
