A year ago today I took the first steps of a journey I'm so proud I took. It was terrifying. I was terrible at selfies. But I hiked over 15 miles and found a group of people to hike with the very first day. I only did a third of the miles I had planned to do, but that was still over 800 miles of walking last summer. It certainly wasn't the adventure I expected, but it was the adventure I needed. Until next time, PCT. I'm officially off trail for the season. All in all, I hiked over 800 miles of the PCT this year. That's just shy of a third of my original goal, but that's still an amazing accomplishment. For those of y'all wondering what the heck I'm doing, I'm taking a little break from the PCT. I'll get back on trail in September to do sections of Washington, but probably not the whole state. Instead of getting back on trail right now I'm going to Burning Man! This summer is about seizing opportunities that present themselves, so that's what I'm doing.
